TUESDAY
10: 11 AM

"Yeah, but Sunday you guys are coming over right?" I asked my cousin, walking through the hallways of the school.

"Yeah," Cam answered when we turned into another corridor. "But why?"

"Because my dad wants to know how much food he's going to make." I explained.

"Okay, then all of us are coming. Even my sisters."

"Both of them?"

"Yeah, they're coming back for the weekend." His sisters were all older than him and in universities, leaving Cam as the youngest of the family.

"Okay, good." I took my phone out to text my dad when Cam spoke up.

"So Amelia."

I had sent the message when I replied almost slamming into a door we were approaching. I didn't even think we were ever going to talk about this. "What about her?"

"She told you?"

"Yeah." I slowed to a stop in the middle of the hallway, sighing as people moved past us. "Yeah, she did."

"Um," He scratched the back of his head. "How is she?"

"Cam," I patted him on the chest, starting to walk away. "How about you ask her?"

He caught up to me. "Because it's going to be awkward you know?"

"You're making it awkward for her. You realize this, yes?"

"How?"

"You constantly avoid her," I explained. "You only come up to me when she leaves. She sees these things and even though she was possibly still is into you and you aren't, doesn't mean that you can't still be friends."

"That's what she thinks?"

"That's what she knows. Talk to her. Soon."

There was a moment of silence between the two of us before Cam asked, "How's Kevin?"My breath caught at the mention of his name. Oh my God. "Judging by that expression I'm guessing that something is finally speeding up between you two."

"Um," I made a face, feeling my voice get higher. "Kinda."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean that-" My voice got cut off at the sight of Amelia and Kevin walking in our direction. Amelia was in the middle of talking and Cam quickly squeezed my shoulder at the sight of her. "Um, I'll see you later. I'll talk to her soon. I promise."

"Fine." He quickly moved down the hallway just when Kevin and Amelia reached me. Kevin stood close in front of me, on his tippy toes trying to tower my height. A smile came to my face at the stupid form of teasing he tried and I put my hands on his stomach, trying to push him back. I felt his abs under my palm through his shirt and he winked at me. "Trying feel something?"

I slapped his stomach lightly, my heart beating fast. "No. We get it, you're tall K."

He embraced me, wrapping me in his arms, one had tangling itself into my hair as I reciprocated, locking my hands. Breathing in that moment, I made the mistake of looking over his shoulder at Amelia who was making hearts with her fingers behind his back. I flipped her the finger, trying to reach to swat her fingers down when Kevin pulled back.
