Nina Agdal's POV
"Ugh." I sighed as I flopped onto my giant navy bed. I lay staring at the ceiling in disbelief as I thought of his betrayal. I rolled over to check my phone and the message from Adam was still on my screen. It read: 'Hey, Nina. I really don't think things are working out between us. Sorry. Still friends?' I couldn't believe him, Adam Levine thought I would want to stay friends after he dumped me like that? I might sound over him but believe me, I still cried myself to sleep every night thinking why does this happen to me?
I reached over and checked my laptop, 21 new e- mails. Just what I need right now, It had been only a week since Adam and already people wanted me to act normally. My manager sent me worried e- mails and asked about tonight's show, I responded that, yes, I would go. Or so I thought until I read the e- mail from Mimi. She told me in the cruelest most cold cut way possible that Adam was engaged to Behati, his ex.
I stood, beyond sad, beyond upset. I was furious and needed to get back at Adam. So I did what anyone would do, I got dressed, did myself up really nice, and caught a cab to the nearest bar to get drunk. I promised myself that would keep it under control, but I gave up at my 7th shot. I might be wasted, but I was still as furious as hours before. Everything was a blur, I stumbled outside and a dangerous looking man caught as I almost fell. "
"A pretty little girl like you shouldn't be out this late alone." He murmured as he pushed his jacket back to reveal a gun. I may be drunk but that snapped me out of my trance. But right as I was about to slap him and run, I saw my opportunity for revenge on Adam. I leaned up close and said, "Let's make a deal".
He seemed shocked, "What kind of deal?"
"I want revenge on someone who hurt me bad."
"Oh, yeah?"
"Your gun would do perfectly..."
He looked at me with understanding, "Name this guy."
"Adam Levine"
He was shocked at that, but probably more shocked when I leaned up at gave him a light kiss on the lips. I leaned further in and whispered "Do we have a deal?"
He nodded and took my arm.
