You: (sit in the bleachers)

Chres: (coaching)

You: (looking around)

Chris: (looks back at you and wave)

You: (smile and wave)

Chres: (looks back)

You: (raise your eyebrows)

Chres' POV: I thought she wasn't coming.

Chres: (turns back around)

You: (make a face)

-20 minutes later-

Chris: come get in line with me mommy.

You: okay...(stands up) where's Madison?

Chris: she didn't want to come. Dad took her to her mom's house.

You: (follow Chris)

-food line-

Chris: chips please.

Jennifer: okay

You: (look at her) Jennifer. Hi.

Jennifer: oh hey.  When did you come?

You: like 20 minutes ago.

Jennifer: I'm just replacing Madison here.

You: well you do a good job at replacing..

Jennifer: (looks at you)

You: Madison I mean....The line is moving quickly.

Jennifer: (laughs) thanks. You want anything?

You: no thank you.

🐸5 minutes later 🐸

You: (looking at Sam)

Sam: (talking to his friends)

Michael: (waves at you)

You: (smile and wave)

Sam: (looks back and wave)

You: (wave)

Chres:  (walks over) I thought you weren't coming

You: I wasn't but I needed to talk to Madison about something.

Chres: what?

You: just a girl issue.

Chres: So you're not going to tell me what's going on with my daughter?

You: it's not like that Chres.

Chres: no it is. I'm her dad y/n. I can't believe you of all persons won't let me know what's going on with my own daughter? Oh wait. You did keep Trey a secret for 2 years.

You: (look at him) are you serious right now?

Chres: yeah.

You: I don't know if Jennifer has you feeling froggy. But if you want to know then I'll tell you.  Chres just don't come at me like I'm a bad mother.

Chres: (looking at you)

You: (start walking away)

Chres: y/n wait.

You: (turn around) what?

Chres: i didn't mean to make it seem like you're a bad mom. Trust me. You're the best mom ever. I just...(looks over your shoulder at Jennifer)
