You: (on the phone) Hey Baby..Mommy misses you.

Trey: (Laughs) she's so confused right now.

You: I'll FaceTime when I get back home.

Trey: How's your ankle?

You: I'm still hopping around but the swelling went down.

Trey: if you were here I'd take care of you.

You: (smile) I know.

Trey: I started to fly down.

You: baby you don't have to do that. I'm fine..honestly. (Look back at the register )

Madison: (Walking out from the back)

Tahj: (meets her half way) was she too hard?

Madison: you didn't tell me your mom owns this place.

Tahj: I didn't think it made a difference. But I told you I'd put in a good word.

Madison: (Laughs)

Tahj: here..(gives her a name tag)

Madison: what?

Tahj: Mom texted me and told me to make it halfway through.

Madison: (Laughs) she literally drilled me back there.

Nicole: (walks out with an apron) just wanted to see how you'd act under pressure. This place gets really busy. (Tosses her the apron)

Tahj: (smiles)

Nicole: see you Monday bright and early.

Tahj: you're working with me.

Nicole: I need you to train her Tahj.

You: Trey I'll call you back. She either got the job or is joining a cult I can't tell.

-5 minutes later-

Madison: I didn't expect to work side by side with him.

You: what? you want to gaze at him from across the room?

Madison: (looks at you). Y/n

You: what it's obvious you have a crush on him. What's going on with you and Sam

Madison: Sam...he's..we're fine. Just going through something right now.

You: (glance at her then back at the road) still together.

Madison: yeah. I'll just be glad when football season starts.

You: why?

Madison: give him something else to think about instead of...you know.

You: ohhhh. Well I'm glad you're being persistent Madison.

Chris: (standing in the hall) did you get the job?!

Madison: Chrisss. Why so loud?

You: (smiling)

Chres: (Walks out the kitchen) Congratulations! (Holding a cupcake)

Madison: (looks back at you) you told him? (Looks at Chres) y'all are too much dad.
