You and Your Dirty Jokes
I woke up and immediately remembered I was meeting Kyle, the new boy. I wasn't really sure how I felt about meeting Kyle. However, I was sure about the A I wanted for the project, so I eventually made up my mind to actually go instead of standing him up.
I quickly showered and put my hair in a ponytail. After I was finished, I brushed my teeth. I put on my undergarments and some jeans. I then put on my Pink Victoria Secret T shirt and some white Converses. I grabbed my black cinch bag already packed from the night before, filled with all the materials I need to work on the project.
"Issie come downstairs." My mom yelled from the bottom of the stairs and walked back to the kitchen to accompany the blueberry pancakes on the stove.
"Coming ma!" I yelled as I rushed down the stairs, smelling the pancake mix in the air.
Despite not really being a breakfast eater, I could never turn down my mom's blueberry pancakes.
"Hey, honey! I was just going to ask you if you want to eat breakfast with me. You ran out so fast yesterday. I wanted some pictures of you from your last months of high school." Mom said as I walked into the kitchen.
She is one of those moms who like to spend every waking minute with you, and I love her for it.
"Mom, like I said last week, it's not a big deal. I'm still a senior right now. I'm not going anywhere." I said, delaying the pictures.
I guess my mom just doesn't want me to leave her just yet, but honestly I didn't want to either. She had been the one person who stuck by me through everything.
Not having her in my life as much as she is now next year is going to be rocky, but I know I have to stand on my own two feet to see what my place in life is.
"I know sweetheart, but you're not going to want to take pictures later, and I want some pictures of my baby before she leaves." She said as she took the pancakes off the stove. I grabbed 2 plates and set them on the table with knives and forks. She grabbed the syrup from the cabinet.
"Well, I'm not the most photogenic person." I said, turning away a bit.
"Well, you're pretty in my eyes." I sighed.
"No offense mom, but that doesn't really count. You have to say that because you're my mom." I said with a smile.
"And hey, I promise to take some pictures before I leave for college. Even though I'm leaving, you will always have me, and I'll always have you. Nothing's going to change." I know how corny it sounded, but in the moment it felt sweet and sentimental.
She smiled and gave me a hug for what it seemed like forever. I didn't want to let go and neither did she, but we eventually released ourselves, and I finished my pancakes, cutting them up and drowning them in syrup.
After finishing my pancakes, I grabbed my keys from the living room table, said bye to my mom, and I jumped into my car.

When I opened the door to the library, and instantly my palms got sweaty. I tried to rub off the sweat, but my hands were still slippery.
Why did he make me feel this way.
As I looked around for Kyle, I noticed everyone in the library was quiet. They were either reading or on computers. I didn't see him, so I thought he stood me up and right when I was about head for the exit.....
