Chapter 6 – My world
"I'm sorry for losing it" He said quietly,
"You didn't lose it"
"Nearly"
"Nearly isn't lost it", He smiled sadly,
"But you saw the state of Tayte"
"That wasn't your fault"
"It mays well have been",
"Noah, shut up" I said and kissed his cheek, I stood up and held out my hand, he took it and I pulled him up and walked over to the bed, pushing him carefully down next to Keane, who ruffled his hair. I rummaged through my bag and changed into some little shorts and a t-shirt which belonged to one of my brothers and then sat on the bed with my brothers watching a re-run of Atlantis. Tayte eventually came out of the bathroom in a towel, his face was bloodless, but he had bruising and swelling around his right eye and his lip split, as well as a cut below his right eye. I looked at him, he winked and I blushed. He smiled, I looked away as he began to change and my brothers laughed at me, Noah got up and went into the bathroom, I turned the television up and carried on watching Jason, Pythagoras and Hercules in Atlantis. Tayte led on the bed next to me topless and in some joggers.
"Feel better?" I asked,
"I'm led next you aren't I", I smiled, and ran my fingers across his cheek,
"Does it hurt?"
"Not much anymore", Keane stood up,
"Just going for a walk" He announced out of the blue,
"No, Keane don't", I said,
"I'll be fine okay, like 5 minutes", I looked at him scared, "Promise", he opened the bathroom door and said something to Noah and then left. I rested my head on Tayte's chest,
"Do you really love me?"
"What kind of question is that?" He said "I love you more than anything Arii and I always have done, you are the only person in this world besides your brothers that I want to spend the rest of my life with, I just wish that you felt the same about me"
"I do...deep down I always have" I told him, "I really do love you Tay'"
"Arii, will you be my girlfriend?"
"I'd love to be Tayte" I said, he kissed me carefully on the lips.
"You don't know how long I've wanted to ask you that". Literally after he said that, Keane walked back in and Noah came out of the bathroom in his pants and nothing else, I looked at them,
"You totally planned that" I said,
"Planned what?" Noah said,
"Anything to tell us?" Keane asked, I grinned,
"Tayte asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes",
"Finally" My brothers sang, I blushed.
The rest of the evening we all led on the double bed watching TV, chatting and eating the crap we'd bought from Waitrose earlier. By about 11.30pm we all decided to settle down, Tayte and I on the sofa bed snuggled up together and Keane and Noah in the double. The lights went out and I felt so safe in the arms of Tayte as he whispered "Goodnight beautiful".
