The house was silent for a few minutes before a car pulled up. June sighed heavily as she walked into the house. She flopped on the couch and buried her face in the cushions. It had been a long day and she wanted to just sleep. She closed her eyes and her phone vibrated. June wanted to cry as she checked it. If it was the hospital she'd have to go back. It was Jack asking if she wanted to join them at the base. She sighed quietly and decided she could use some relaxation. Though she wasn't sure she'd find it at the base. She figured she should go and slowly got back up.

When she pulled in she saw Raf and Miko running around as they chased Bumblebee and Smokescreen. The two young men were each waving something in the air and laughing. She decided not to ask.

"Hey mom. We're going to go hiking in Montana, wanna join?" Jack asked as he hugged her. June watched the others as they finally gathered to the portal. She smiled a little and rubbed her face tiredly.

"I'll probably go rest a little." She said quietly, unsure why she even came. Jack shrugged and Optimus prepared to bridge them. Once they went through the base was quiet and she realized Ratchet wasn't at his usual spot. She furrowed her brow a little.

"He's up on the couch." Optimus said as he smiled a little and walked to the hall. She watched him slightly surprised.

How did he know she was looking for him? She looked up to the couch and wondered if she should bother him. Maybe it would make her feel better.

June walked up the stairs and saw Ratchet laying on the couch face down. One of his arms were covering his head, while the other one hung down to the floor. She smiled as she sat on the chair by him. She gently touched a lock of hair and played with it a little.

"How can you sleep with all the noise?" She asked quietly, more to herself.

"By pretending it's not there." He muttered, voice slightly muffled. She was a little surprised when he answered.

"Well its quiet now... so nothing should annoy or bother you." She said and smiled a little. His head popped up and he looked at her. Ratchet smirked slightly.

What would I do without your smart mouth?

Drawing me in, and you kicking me out...

"Well I can't sleep now that you're here." He muttered and sat up. She rolled her eyes and gave him a look.

"I can leave then." She said as she smiled a little.

Though truthfully she didn't want to. Just being around him made her feel better. He furrowed his brow as he noticed she was more tired than usual. He watched her for a moment then looked around as his thoughts cleared up. She quietly sat by him.

You've got my head spinning, no kidding, I can't pin you down.

June stared at her hands for a few minutes as she thought. She rubbed her face tiredly as she pushed her troubles away. She didn't want to think about everything that was going on in her life. She really just wanted to spend time with him. She blushed a little at the thought.
