Alie's POV

2 missed calls from : Jack

I looked out the car window as Jack called me for the third time. Does he think I forgive him?

"Alie, someone's calling you."

I looked at my dad, who kept his eyes on the road.

"It's Jack, but I'm too tired to answer."

Lied.

"Will you call him back?"

"I will tomorrow. Once I settle in."

Lied again.

I looked back out the window and sighed, slumping back in my seat.

"Alie, I don't want you to be scared to be in a relationship."

"I'm scared of being hurt, dad."

Jack's POV

I looked up and saw my mom staring at me, smiling. I nodded and stood up.

She shook her head and I sighed.

"She's my girl - ex-girlfriend. We broke up because of a mistake I made."

"What mistake?"

"It's nothing. I just hurt her. Really bad."

"I'm sure you can fix it."

I mumbled a 'maybe' and walked upstairs.

"Laura, can I talk to you?"

She looked up at me and nodded.

"Alie, you remember her, right?"

She nodded.

"We broke up. I did some things that I shouldn't have and I want to get her back. How?"

She smiled and patted the seat next to her.

"I'll tell you what to do."

Alie's POV

I set my bag down and walked upstairs to shower. My phone buzzed just before I got in and I looked at it.

Cameron: Alie, can you meet me outside?"

Alie: Right now?"

Cameron: Is it a bad time?  😖

Alie: No just getting settled in. I'll be outside in 5

I locked my phone and ran downstairs, walking outside.

"Hey."

I looked over at him and smiled, wrapping my arms around him, embracing him in a hug.

"I miss you."

I looked up at him, pulling away from the hug.

"You miss me? Since when, lover boy?"

I joked, laughing. His chocolate eyes pierced into mine and he placed his hand on my cheek, his breath fanning against my face.

"Cam, I'm not r-"
