Maya POV

I'm so happy that today is Friday. This week has been an emotional one for me. Having Lucas back is the best thing that could have ever happened. I haven't seen him since Tuesday but he is coming over tomorrow to meet Gabriel. Mom, Dad, and Riley were so happy for me that Lucas was back in my life and Gabriel was finally going to get to meet his father.  Mom said that Gabe has  been asking her a lot about his Dad too. I guess she and my dad have been explaining best that they could to him.

I told Gabriel that tonight was going to be a snuggle with Mommy in her bed and watch movies together with pop corn kind of night. Tonight was the night I was going to tell him about his father. I wanted to wait for the night before that way I didn't have to put him through 3 days of waiting to see his Dad. After getting home from work I made dinner for Gabe and I then I put him right in the bath. When he was done I took him to his room to get him dressed.

"Mommy?" Gabe said as I was helping him get his pants on.

"What baby?" I said as I pulled them up over his waist.

"Alex told me that his Daddy was taking him to a baseball game tonight. I really I wish I had a Daddy to do things like that with ." he said as I helped him put his shirt on next.  My heart broke a little bit but at the same time I knew that this time I could make him feel better.  Alex is Gabe's best friend from school. I figured this would be a good time to tell him about Lucas.

"Why don't you come up here and sit by Mommy for a minute. I want to talk to you about something." I said as I patted the empty spot on the bed that was next to me.

Gabe carefully climbed up onto the bed and sat next to me. He looked so sad and that killed me. I picked him up and placed him in my lap. I hugged him tightly and kissed him on the cheek before I started to say what I wanted to tell him.

"What do you want to tell me, Mom?" he asked me.

"Do you remember how I told you about how your Daddy didn't know about you because Mommy didn't know she was having you until after he left to be with his new family?" I asked and he nodded at me. "And you remember how I told you that I didn't know where he was right?"

Gabe looked at me and nodded "I think I do." he replied.

"Okay, let me tell you the story again so you remember okay?" I said to him and he nodded so I continued. "A long time ago Mommy met Daddy in a place where kids who don't have a family live. We became best friends but then Daddy found out he was going to have a new family so he didn't have to live there anymore. This meant that Mommy and Daddy had no way to talk to each other."

"Mommy, why couldn't you go with him?" Gabe curiously asked.

"Because Mommy went to live with Mammy and Pappy instead and that's when I found out I was having you." I said with a smile.

"Did you love my Daddy?" he asked me.

"Mommy loved Daddy very much and Daddy loved me too. He told me no matter what happened he would find me and I told him I would try to find him too." I replied and he nodded. "So Mammy tried to help me find your Daddy and we tried even hard when we found out I was going to have you."

"Did you find him yet?" Gabe asked and I couldn't help but smile at him.

"Do you remember the man who was at Mammy's the other day?" I asked him.

"Yep, he was really nice to me when I showed him my DS." he replied with a smile. "He said his name is Lucas like my middle name Gabriel Lucas Matthews."

"Well, that man is your Daddy and he wants to come see you tomorrow, if you are okay with it." I replied with a smile and Gabriel's face lit right up.  He was so happy and I almost started crying at how happy he was.

"Yeah, I want to see him Mommy." he smiled. "Why can't he come now?"

"He had to work today baby or he would have." I replied.

"How did you find my Daddy?" he curiously asked.

"He was at Mammy's because he wanted her to help him find me and then he did find me and you." I said as I hugged him tightly.

"My Daddy was nice to me." Gabe replied.

"I know he was baby." I said and the kissed him softly on the cheek. "Your Daddy is one of the nicest people ever and you are a a lot like him. You are caring and sweet natured like he is."

"Mommy can we snuggle and watch movies now?" he asked me and I couldn't help but chuckle.

"Yes, we can." I replied.

Gabe and I made popcorn then went to my room where we planned to cuddle and watch movies. He wanted to watch Ninja Turtles so of course I went with it even though he's seen it so many times. As we waited for the movie to load I looked over at him. He was eating his pop corn and I smiled. He really did look so much like Lucas. I grabbed my cell phone off the bedside table and held it out in front of me.

"Take a selfie with me. I'm going to send it to your dad." I said to him.

Gabe leaned into me and smiled. I quickly snapped the picture then got ready to send it to Lucas via text.

"We can't wait to see you tomorrow. Going to eat some popcorn and snuggle." I wrote out and put the heart kiss face emoji, then hit send so that the text would go Lucas phone.

Lucas wrote back a few seconds later "Wow. He really does look like me. :) I can't wait to see you guys too. Did everything go okay when you told him?" - Lucas

"Yes, it went fine. He's very happy and I'm happy too." I replied back to him.

Lucas and I continued to text for awhile and then once the movie was over it was Gaberiel's bed time. He asked if he could sleep with me tonight and I told him that he could. I let him do that everyone once in awhile because he misses me. Tomorrow was going to be a good day.

Next up: Lucas and Gabe's first real interaction.

A/N Let me know how you think the scene with Gabe/Maya is where she talks to him about Lucas. I wanted it to be realistically as possible.
