Chapter 10

A/N:  Shout out to the best friend _LucayaFeels who reads this because without her you guys probably wouldn't get updates as fast as you do. She demands them when they leave on a cliffy like that. lmao... Here is another update. :) 

Maya POV

The amount of feelings that I get when kissing Lucas is a bit indescribable. It feels so amazing to be able to kiss him again. I didn't want him to leave just yet so I told him to stay with me. It felt so nice having him here with me and while I'm glad he spent time with our son I'm happy that the two of us get some alone time. After breaking a part from the make out session we had just shared I looked at him and smiled. 

"I have something for you." I said as I stood up off the couch. "Follow me."

Lucas gave me a questionable look and got up off the couch "Lead the way." he said to me.

I grabbed Lucas hand and pulled him down the hallway towards my room. When we got there I closed the door behind me.

"Maya, I don't know what you have planned for me but and it's not that I'm against it or anything but if its something sexual I just want you to know what as much as I want to we really don't have to." he said and I couldn't help but start laughing. 

"I probably should have clarified that for you." I said as I turned to face him. "It's nothing sex related."

I walked over to the large bookshelf that was against the wall in my bedroom. I grabbed the largest book that sat on the shelf and I smiled as I looked at the picture of Gabriel on the front of it. I walked back over to Lucas and told him to come join me on the bed. I held the book against me my chest and looked up at him. He was looking at me with so much curiosity on his face. I was trying to muster up the words to speak so that I didn't cry when I explained this to him. 

"Lucas, as you already know  from the moment I found out I was pregnant with Gabriel, it made we want to search so much harder for you. I didn't want you to miss out on his life, I wanted you to be here to see all of it. The second thing that I told myself I was going to do and made myself stick to it was to make you a baby book as well as some other things. I told myself I didn't care if it was only a few months into his life or 10 years down the road. I was going to make this book for you no matter what so that if I ever did find you that you could look back on this and know that even thought you weren't here for any of this at least you have the memories in pictures and written down. I made double the copy of every ultrasound and picture I ever took of him. I wrote down his first words, and documented all of his milestones, and aside from this book I have DVDs for you too. I made copies of everything." I said to him and this point I was crying and when I looked up at him to see his reaction I noticed that he was crying too. 

I wiped the tear of his face and handed the book to him. Lucas looked down at the book and smiled as he ran his finger along the baby picture of Gabe that was on the front of it. He then looked back up at me and smiled.  "Thank you so much Maya. This means so much to me that you did this. I can't change that I missed the first 5 years of his life but at least I will have this to look back on. Ever since I found out we share a son it's ate me alive that I wasn't there for him or you." he said to me "If I could change it I would." 

"I know you would but like you said you just can't so we have to just go on from here. You're here now, you're back with us, and that's all that matters." I said to him and he leaned in and kissed me softly. 

"Very true." he said then looked back down at the book. 

Lucas opened up the book and I couldn't help but smile at the pictures on the page. There were 9 pictures of me and each of them were taken once a month during my pregnancy. I pointed to the one of me that was taken right before I had him. I couldn't help but chuckle.  Lucas looked over at me and I could tell he was wondering what I was laughing at. 

"This was taken right before I had him. I'm so petite but there I am with this gigantic stomach." I said as I looked up at him. 

"You looked beautiful regardless." he said then he looked back down and turned the page on it. 

The next page contained all of Gabe's ultrasounds. Lucas looked at each one and the look on his face was that of pure happiness and joy.  I made sure to tell him about the ultrasounds that were taken later in the pregnancy showing him where Gabe's arms hands, feet, etc were.  Lucas and I spent a couple hours looking at that book. I told him the story behind every single picture, milestone, and everything else that was documented in there. I could tell it really made Lucas happy to learn all of this.  When we were done with the book Lucas placed it on the bedside table that was next to him. He placed his hand on my cheek and moved my hair out of my face then leaned into kiss me so softly on the lips. I pulled him closer to me and he smiled into my mouth. He carefully laid me back on the bed and began to kiss my neck. I signed at his touch which hasn't changed what so ever because it's exactly how I reacted to him 6 years ago. 

He looked up at me "You don't know how happy that makes me that I can still make you so weak." he said then he started kissing my neck again. 

"No one can make make me feel the way that you do. No one." I said breathlessly and then his mouth was on mine again. 

Things started to get heated until I heard my door begin to open. Lucas looked at me and stopped. I sat up just as Gabe walked in. He was rubbing his sleepy eyes. 

"Mommy can I sleep with you?" he mumbled. He hadn't noticed that Lucas was still here. 

"Yeah baby you can. Come here." I said to him then I looked at Lucas. "He does this sometimes. I know I probably shouldn't let him sleep with me but Mom says he'll eventually grow out of it." 

He walked over to the opposite side of the bed still not noticing Lucas there.  My poor baby was so tired. Finally he looked up and then he smiled. 

"Hey what are you doing here?" he mumbled. 

"Mommy and I were just looking at a book. Come here I'll put you in bed with her." he said then lifted him in. He got in the covers and I covered him up. 

"Okay." he yawned then snuggled into me. 

It was only a couple seconds before he was fast asleep again. Lucas leaned over and kissed me softly. "I'll get going so you can guys can go to bed. Are you okay with me coming over in the morning?" 

"Yes, that's fine." I said with a smile. "Sorry about the interruption." 

"Don't worry about it. I'll get you alone at some point." he said and then I quietly chuckled. 

I watched as Lucas grabbed the book off the table. He walked over and shut the light off in my room and I watched leave. Tonight was perfect. I couldn't wait for more nights like this. Once I knew Gabriel was sleeping for sure I got up and got myself around for bed then came back and snuggled in with him. It didn't take me long to fall asleep either. One thing is for sure I couldn't wait to see Lucas tomorrow.
