Chapter Twelve: Short Program
You were besides yourself when you saw that you had won gold. You couldn't help but feel a slight bit of satisfaction when Olivia got presented her sliver medal and scowled as she saw you get presented your gold and the national anthem of your country was being played. Much to your surprise, there was Yuri standing at the back of a crowd and he was looking at you. You noticed that he had a gold medal around his neck. You smiled, you had always known that he would do well. He seemed like the person that will persevere and always come out on top.
You had finally made it back to your cabin after numerous interviews and photos asked for some of the top news companies in the world. You walked in and saw Amelia sitting on her bed sipping her hot chocolate. Amelia's eyes snapped up and looked at you as you walked into the room.
"C'mon and have a look at this." Amelia said as she beckoned you over.
You walked over and had a look at what she was looking at. All of the medals from today's events had been added to the medal tally. There was Norway in first place, then Russia in second place and in third place, (Y/C) wasn't far behind. You were proud of how everyone competed. (Y/C) didn't have as many gold medals, but the games were only half over. So everyone had some time to try and catch up and hopefully pass Russia.
The rest of the night was pretty uneventful. You had received a Skype call from your family back home that were congratulating your recent win. You looked and saw that your whole family had a mini party, whether it was because you won or that you were just competing. They promised that they would watch your next few events coming up. You said your goodbyes and hung up. It was good to be able to talk to your parents after a very long day.
As a little treat to yourself after winning your gold, you decided to have a nice relaxing bath. You felt glad that you had decided to bring your a few bath essentials with you. After your bath the night was pretty boring. Although when you finally went to bed, you found it hard to sleep.
You smiled a little. Yuri, Yuuri and Viktor had their short program performances tomorrow. You were excited. You had read up on the ice skating competition a few nights ago. And you saw at every Grand Prix there was a constant battle between Yuri, Yuuri and Viktor for the spot of number one in the world. It seemed like the Olympic Games may turn in Yuri's favour as he won the last Grand Prix and he had a gold medal underneath his belt from the ice dance competition. Although Yuuri and Viktor weren't going to be easy competition. Viktor had was the top ranked skater for five years and in that time he won the Olympics before. And Yuuri, back in 2016 he made the comeback of the century; after placing sixth in the 2015 Grand Prix, he came back to the 2016 Grand Prix and came second after narrowly missing out on first place. To say the least, you were excited for the short program performances.
You quickly turned yourself over and you felt yourself to start to fall asleep.

The next day you woke up and saw that you still had plenty of time before you had to go down to the rink to watch Yuuri, Viktor and Yuri.
