I stumbled over my own feet, tilting forward. I pushed myself back, only to over-correct and slam straight down onto my back.

The boys realized I wasn't following and looked back with raised eyebrows.

"Miss Sorenson, what are you doing?" Mr. Blackbourne inquired. I rolled my eyes.

"I'm attacking the floor," I replied sarcastically.

"Backwards?" Nathan asked.

"Yup. It's a new move I'm trying out. Backwards-Floor-Ninja-Slam."

"In that case you're doing fantastic."

All of them nodded and turned back around, continuing their chats.

"Yeah, I'm fine, thanks!" I shouted after them. They ignored me and I mumbled under my breath as I pulled myself up. Manners were dead these days.
