Hello jaanis! I'm back from vacation, so here's the update that I promised.

All my silent readers, please speak up! I'd love to hear if you're liking my book. If nothing, at least vote, please. It would mean the world to me. Thank you loves :)

And thank you all of those that have voted on my story, it means a lot :* :* :* :*

This is so far my favourite chapter ever, because well, I love Sakinah and Shehry xD

The song for this chapter is - Tumhi Ho Bandhu

Sakinah's POV

"AAPI!!!!!!!!!" Ayaan hollered for the twentieth time.

"Khuda ke liye chup ho jao, aa rahi hoon!" I yelled back. "Kathy, I'll call you back later." I hung up the phone and huffed.

"Kya masla hai Ayaan, aag kahan lagi hui hai?" I scowled as I entered his room. He was typing away at his computer, with his reading glasses on.

"Aapi, aaj maine ek dost ko bulaya hai dinner ke liye. Main tumse poochna bhool gaya." My eyes widened and I smacked the back of his head.

"Badam khaya karo tum. Ab mere paas teen hi ghante hain kuch tayaar karne ke liye. Aur mujhe yeh bhi nahi pata ke tumhaare dost ko kya pasand hai." I immediately tensed up. My mind started running through possibilities of what to make. "Yaar achanak se kyun?"

"Arre Aapi yeh wohi banda hai jo mere saath kaam kar raha hai iss manhoos project par. Aaj hum yeh bhi karne wale hai, iss liye. Usko jo bhi tum banaogi, pasand aayega. Aur vaise, mera bohot mann tha ke main tum dono milwa doon. Toh iss project ke bahaane se hi sahi."

"Kyun? Meri shaadi kara deni hai tumhein?" I snapped, pissed off and panicky now.

"In Shaa Allah bolo, Shehry bohot accha ladka hai." Ayaan smirked at me.

"Accha hi hoga, ghar tak bula liya. Lekin jo bhi hai, pehle batana chahiye tha na! Upar se aaj kaam par bhi gayi thi, kaise karoongi main? Ab main jaa rahi hoon kitchen mein,"

"Main aaon help karne?" He offered. I joined my hands in front of him pleadingly. I love my brother and all, but cooking is not his cup of tea.

"Khuda ke liye, nahi. Khabardaar jo tumne mujhe disturb kiya. Main kar loongi." I ran back downstairs and started pulling out ingredients in a frenzy.

Over the next two hours, I managed to put together a few dishes, way more than enough for one guest.

"Arre wah, chocolate cake, chicken biryani, naan, kofta, butter chicken, spring rolls, salad. Aapi, kya baat hai? Tumhaare liye rishta aa raha hai?" I smacked Rizwan on the head and continued frosting my cake.

"Nahi, tumhaara bhai last minute par mujhe kehta hain ke usne kisi ko ghar par bulaya hai aaj sham ko." I caught Rizwan sneaking a carrot in his mouth. I took the salad plate from him. "Oye, rakh usko, fridge ke ander aur bhi gajar hai, wahan se kha lo. Yeh sham ke liye tayaar kiya hai maine."

"Aapi, Ayaan bhai mujhe tang kar rahe hain!" Sabrina yelled.

"Ayaan ne zaya hi ho jaana hai mere haathon. Pehle se mujhe pareshaan kar ke rakh diya aur ab Sabrina ke saath ladh raha hai janab." I sighed in frustration. Rizwan caught how frazzled I was and patted my shoulder.

"Main jaa ke dekhta hoon inko. Tum itmenaan se kaam khatam kar lo. Jaldbaazi mein karoge toh kuch na kuch ghalat ho hi jaayega." I smiled gratefully at him and finished frosting the cake. I set the cake carefully in the fridge and arranged all my dishes along the one clean counter in the kitchen.
