The dusk had arrived, taking away the glimpses of sunlight reflecting upon the glass vases that had been arranged neatly on the tops of shelves, and covering them with a blanket of darkness now as night proceeded towards the city.

I walked to and fro, waiting to hear the doorbell.

I frowned. Where was Bunny?

Well, maybe I should wait a bit more.
But either way- he probably already had dinner.

I frowned and solemnly went to my bedroom where a thousand things came into my brain but it did not make Bunny come home.

Before I knew it, my eyes were shut tightly.

💓

The next morning awoke me with a start.

"Huh?" I said to myself.

Just then, I saw a rather sleepy head beside me.

I sighed and stroked Bunny's hair. He snuggled up a bit on my hand then I gently took it out.

"TRING TRING!"

I cringed - who was calling this early in the morning?!

"Hello?" I whispered.

"Hii Naina!"
"Oh Akshara, you...." I sighed.

"Yes me... why - any problem?" She laughed and made me giggle.

"Nahi yaar, bolo, why did you call so early in the morning?"

"Naina I've got some good news."

"Ooh, go ahead...."

"I have a boyfriend."

"Holy shit - WHO?" I gasped in excitement.

"Well, his name is......."

"NAINAAAAA." Bunny's frustrated voice sounded from the bedroom.

I accidentally cut the call and rolled my eyes at Bunny.

"Geez, don't tell me your late again!" I cried, resting my hands on my hips.

"Sorry chashmish," he winked.

"Bunny wait - listen........"

He did not stop but kept scurrying out of the door.

I dropped myself  on the sofa - how rude of him!

The door opened again and Bunny came back in.

Oh finalllyy he realized he didn't say bye.

"Bun......."

He grabbed the keys and closed the door with a bang again.

I sighed angrily and shook my head in disapproval.

What's gotten into him?

Just then, I realized I had cut Akshara's call.

"Hi, Akshara?"

"Haaa, Naina....."

"Soo, tell me who this lucky guy is?"

"Actually he works in my office."

"Oh wow!"

"Sooo...... yeah." I could sense her blushing.

"Wow, when's the wedding?" I asked jokingly.

"Arre yaar, I only met him a few days ago.

"....... how can you trust someone you only met a few days before? I mean, what if he has someone in mind already or...."

"He looks so young I'm sure he doesn't. The way he looks at me makes me go weak in the knees."

I smiled.

"Alright, see ya later Akshu."

"Byeee!"

Well that's good. Everyone's finding their ideal partners.

Except me - I still need to propose to Bunny.

Nowadays he just acts strangely. Suddenly, the fearsome thought came into my mind: what if he likes someone else? No no - I can't let that happen. Before someone else takes him I have to ask him out!

💓

Many days had past where Bunny didn't come home for lunch, and rarely for dinner.

What's gotten up with him?

I mean - this much work pressure that he doesn't even get time to spend with me.

A few weeks had passed and Bunny was now totally ignoring me.

I had firmly decided that today - and only today I would go to his office and surprise him.

Well, why was I worrying so much anyway? He doesn't even belong to me.

Yes he does

The subconscious part of my brain said.

I grabbed the other car's keys and zoomed off.

Hmm I would see what he's doing with my own eyes - just when I realized that was my biggest mistake.
