Tbh I've always seen modern Thomas Paine as that short, quiet nerd in the back of the classroom with the squeaky voice who has a major crush on Angelica but he doesn't think it'll work out bc he's like up to her shoulder and he thinks he's a wimp when in reality he's just a big cutie that you wanna hug
