I’m re-reading “Fire and Ice” and can we just appreciate Cloudkit coming to ThunderClan?
Like Fireheart trudges him home from Princess’ house, careful not to slip or hurt him all the way, and then they finally get to the entrance. It finally occurs to him that his Clanmmates are gonna be pissed, and he gets nervous, but the kit is getting a chill. He can’t possibly put the poor scrap of fur through all of that again.
So he walked through the tunnel, and, as the text says, “The kit let out a deafening wail as a thorn tugged at its fur.”
Here’s Fireheart, trying to peacefully bring this kittypet-born kit into the camp, possibly just sneak up to Bluestar’s den without talking to anybody (and won’t be stopped even when his Clanmates try and get in the way like what the StarClan is this Fireheart) and quietly getting her support when suddenly
