Also, I'm honestly getting bored of always having to write about the dance competitions (even though I am a dancer and I love competitions) so I'm probably going to skip through them and just state what happened in other chapters. cx

Chapter 18

Jerome

Not surprisingly, D.A.N.C.E was moving on to the international competition once again. I mean, we did win that two years in a row, so it would have been shocking if we didn't qualify yet again.

It was a struggle, though. There was one part where we tied, but they looked at all the scores from the others rounds and ours was slightly higher so we were able to move on. Then we dominated in the rest of the competition.

And now, Ryder, Mae, and I were going to my boo's house because it was his sixteenth birthday. And Orchid and Alan's, but I obviously liked Nolan better.

When we walked into the house, I gave Nolan a hug. "Happy birthday, boo," I said.

       "Thank you," Nolan said.

"Yeah, happy birthday," Ryder said, though he sounded a bit bitter. He had been towards me for the past few days and I had no reason why. "You're sixteen now. You know being sixteen is a good age for? Having s--"

"Okay, I am pulling you away," Mae said, grabbing Ryder's arm and pulling him to where his family was sitting.

Nolan and I went to the living room as well and sat on the couch, only to have Ryder immediately glare at me and Mae elbowed his side.

"Why are you so mad at me?" I asked.

"Reasons," Ryder said, crossing his arm over his chest.

"I think it's because of that....thing," Nolan said.

       "What thing?" I asked.

"Well....Remember the party? And the very first question for never have I ever? That."

I was confused for a bit, mainly because I didn't really remember the first question that was asked. I was too busy focusing on the fact that I had to drink every single round.

I still think Ryder paid everyone to say something so that I would have to drink.

"Remind me, what was the first question again?" I asked.

"Uh...." Nolan hesitated, so it was obviously something he didn't want to say out loud.

       Oh.

       Oh.

"Get over it, Ryder," I said, and he just glared at me.

"Hold on," Grayson said. "My son went to a party? Aww, my baby is growing up."
