Plot Twist #5
Katniss's daughter was cleaning out an old box Katniss kept in the attic of their house in Victors Village one day. There was clothing in the box, on top a picture of a fragile blond girl around her age. The clothes were fancy for district 12 and fit for a young girl. Curious she tried it on. It fit her perfectly. So, she playfully bounced back downstairs to her room two she could see how it looked on her, taking the picture with her.
When she got to her room, Katniss's daughter carefully set the picture on her desk as she looked in the full length mirror. She twirled around, feeling confident and happy. It was only then when she noticed her mother, Katniss Everdeen, standing in the doorway. The girls spirit dropped when she noticed the tears pricking her mothers eyes.
"Mom?" she asked cautiously. "Are you okay?"
Her mother shook her head and smiled. Katniss slowly walked over to pick up the picture. "Prim." she whispered softly as a tear slid down her face. Then she turned to her daughter. "You look beautiful." she said as she walked over to her. "But you better tuck in that tail little duck." Katniss said as she tucked in her daughters shirt just as she used to with Prim.
