I followed my mother half way across the demon land in the first three days of our travel. I thought I made it clear that I didn't want to have anything to do with her but she always insist on responding to my cold demeanor happily...I won't fall for it. That attitude isn't gonna win me over.

In any case, I don't understand the reason for our travels. She mentioned something briefly about finding people called the seven sinners. Not to mention, I noticed that she would always disappear somewhere at midnight while I'm asleep. Layhel did say that mother was being hunted by Nephielims every night. Heh, I hope they kill her then. I tried following her yesterday but completely lost sight of her when she flew into the air. That mother of mine..who would've knew that she had both an angel and demon's blood within her. She should just die, after all, she's not even suppose to exist in the first place.

In the morning I met with mother who happily ran towards me.

Zelphi: (happily) Morning Zael! Did you sleep well last night??

Zael: (coldly) It doesn't matter, it's not like you care anyway.

Zelphi: Heey!! Of course I do, I'm your mother!

Zael: Since when did you ever acted like a mother to me? I don't care what excuse you make, the bottom line is that you were never there for me!!

My words roared out in anger. Mother seems hesitant and suddenly grew quiet. This always happens when we start talking to each other. But who cares anyway, it's her fault to begin with.

Zelphi: Zael...(sternly) Quit acting like a spoiled brat!

Zael: (shocked) What-!

Zelphi: Look at you! You're already 18 and you're whining to your mom like a little kid! Sure it's partly my fault for neglecting you for all those years but it was only to keep you safe. Why can't you understand that?! Besides, it's not like you had a terribly tragic past! You had a home...people to call your friends...peaceful days to pass..and...at least you have me...

Mother suddenly turned depressed and hung her head down gloomily. I couldn't help but feel a bit sympathetic as her words were filled with sorrow. But she recollected herself in no time and we were off on the road again. Just what was that? I couldn't help but feel that there was some sort of meaning behind it. After awhile, I decided to talk to her, mother seems to be back in her usual cheerful mood again.

Zael: Hey. Mother.

Zelphi: (smiles) Hmm...what is it Zael??

Zael: Where are we going? We've been walking for days already.

Zelphi: Oh gosh! Did I not tell you? We're going to the holy lands to see your dad first.

Zael: (shocked) What?! I have a dad??!

Zelphi: Haha. Of course silly! He's the most important person in the world! He's always busy playing god and never comes home so ah..I guess that's why you've never seen him before.

Unbelievable...I had at least retained some memories of my mother until I was 8. But my father, he wasn't there to begin with, I just assumed I didn't have one. But...to think he's still alive...well...HIS EXISTENCE IS WORSE THAN MOTHER'S!!! He abandoned me from the start!!

Zael: (coldly) Hey. Tell me the truth. Who is my father!

Zelphi: Mm..I guess it's no big secret. (Smiles) His name is Zephiel.

Zael: (shocked) YOU'RE KIDDING!!! My dad..the Kami??

Zelphi: Ah...yeah.

The Kami..no way. He's like the ruler of all 8 lands. Practically like the god of the living...but he's also Zephiel, the bringer of death who tried to destroy the world. Just what are The Lords of each land thinking?? They made a man who tried to destroy them all as their new leader. And to think I have his blood running through me...Urg..suddenly I started feeling nauseated.
