Mia and I walk downstairs the next morning to see our friends and Olivia, and our parents "What's going on?" I ask nervously "The school trip......to Canada!" Zach exclaims like it's obvious "Oh, that..... I forgot" I laugh the others roll their eyes "I can't wait!" Claire practically screams "Calm down sweetie" Bree says Mia and I both laugh "Ok you're gonna be in Canada for two days, so let's go over rules" Mom and dad both say "Ok Mr and Mrs Carter we'll be fine" Kenzie reassures my parents "Uh Kenz standing up to my parents... Bad decision" Mia whispers I nod "Oh no, we're going over rules Mackenzie" Dad says "Call me Kenzie" She says dad glares at her "Or Mack...doesn't matter" she mumbles "Fine. Anyway time for rules" Mom says "Is this gonna be a lecture? Because I don't think we need another one" Leo tells them "The one from the cop was enough" I mumble "What?!" Mom screams "She's just kidding" Mia puts in "Oh good grief....Kira Lynn Carter don't scare me like that!" Mom scolds "Sorry" I mumble "Ok rules. Don't leave your partner, Don't wander off, stay with the teacher at all times, and expect from Leo and Zach-" "Ok mom look at the time we have to go" I interrupt "No boys" she finishes as we already head out the door "Your middle names "Lynn" ?" Claire asks "Yeah" I say
Time skip..................
"Sometimes they can be really annoying" Mia says to the others when we finally get to school and see the bus "Are we leaving this early?" I ask "Yeah. Our flight leaves around 10" Bree tells us we hurry on the bus "I'm glad this trip is for the whole school" Mia comments I laugh and the bus drives to the airport
Time skip..............
"Ok students" snider begins  "We're giving partners. Zachary Asher, Mackenzie Bailey. Bree Morgan, Emilia Carter. Leo Capel, Kira Carter-" he says "and Claire Welder (don't ask like in my other book, I just thought of Claire Blackwelder) "you will be joining them" Mr Snider finishes my face is bright red "Calm down" Bree says "Is it possible for me to become sick over something like this?" I ask "I don't know" Mia shrugs "Emilia?" Claire asks "Don't question it" Mia tells her I roll my eyes and we get on the plane and head to Canada
Time skip..................
"Canada!" Zach exclaims once we get off the plane "I'm glad we're not in Paris" I mumble "What's wrong?" Zach asks I shoot him a look "She's mad cause she has Leo as her partner" Mia tells him "Why do we even need partners? We're 14 not 5!" I exclaim "Besides I don't wanna be with Leo" The others look at me "I don't want him to be my partner" I say "That makes more sense" Kenzie mumbles "Why are things awkward between you two? It was just a kiss!" Bree tells me "It's awkward, I don't- I don't know why it was awkward" I finally say "Maybe it's because it was your first kiss.....or because you didn't tell mom and dad" Mia starts "Mom is going to ask questions, and dad will be overprotective. And I don't want that" I tell her Claire rolls her eyes "Kir, the guilt is obviously getting to you. You have to tell them at some point" "I-I guess,they're gonna be mad" I say "Just tell them you're being bullied, Leo came into the janitors closet to check on you and you kissed. I mean that is what happened" Mia says "Yeah, but still, I mean you know how mom is" I mumble "Yeah,yeah I mean seriously the woman talks to you about boys like you're 21" Kenzie says I look at her "Changing the subject-" she drifts off "I don't want things to be awkward" Leo says behind me I scream "I thought you were walking ahead" I say we get on the bus "Nope, but still Claire's right.
