13 Reasons Why This Book Is Being Discontinued

Hey, it's Jordan. Jordan Michelle. That's right. Don't adjust your...whatever device you're reading this on. It's me, alive and in writing. No return engagements, no encore, and this time, absolutely no requests. Get a snack. Settle in. Because I'm about to tell you the fate of this book. More specifically, why this book ended.

1. I have been working on this book for over four years. Four years and I only have 19 chapters posted up. That's disappointing and I'm honestly disappointed in myself.

2. I first started this book when I was 13. I have matured/changed over the years and looking back and seeing what I wrote at that age just makes me grimace.

3. There's too many plot holes. There's too much inconsistency. The story doesn't flow the way I want it to flow. There are events/statements that goes against earlier events in the storyline. I blame my young 13 year old self. 😑

4. I feel that I made Ryder a bit too possessive and somewhat controlling. If I had a boyfriend I wouldn't want him to tell me what I could and could not wear and who I could speak to all the time. I wouldn't want a boyfriend like that. I would quickly jump out of that relationship without looking back.

5. This story is somewhat unrealistic. There are situations in this story that I feel are unreal. I get that it's nonfiction and hennything can happen but...you get the gist.

6. I lost inspiration. I remember first starting this story. I was super excited and couldn't wait to publish it. My updates weren't that fast but they still came and I was excited about updating. Over time, I just got tired of writing. I didn't know what to write. I would often blame it on my writer's block but deep down I knew I wasn't writing because I had lost inspiration. The need to update this story wasn't there anymore and it's still not there up to this day.

7. The new version isn't working out either. I posted a new version of this story in hopes of starting a much better plot than this one but it's not working out.

8. I'm out of ideas. What I mean by that is I can't see where this story's going anymore. You know how you plot out what's going to happen in each chapter or by a certain point in the book...I can't do that anymore.

9. This story is too cliche and cringy. When I first started this story I did no planning whatsoever. I observed all the popular books and noticed that they included alphas and alphas being possessive with mates and what not, so I decided to add to that category. These books had lots of views, comments, and votes and I wanted all of those things. Hence the title. Then there was the cliche bad boy alpha who was hella possessive, the cliche white wolf being special, and lots of other cliche things.

10. I rushed the story. Ryder was already giving Megan an orgasm by the second chapter. That's pretty rushed. What the heck was my 13 year old self thinking?

11. Lack of readers, votes, and comments. At the beginning of my story, there's lots of reads, votes, and comments but over time they start to decrease. When I noticed that I started to loose motivation to continue with the story. I understand that it's my fault since I was updating really slow. Like reallllyyyy slow. And I'm so sorry for that.

12. I could've done a better job honestly. Now that I look back on it, I could've wrote this story better and I'm just so disappointed with how it all turned out.

13. I don't feel like forcing myself to finish this story. I understand that some of you are probably sad or want to rip my head off for doing this but I'm not going to force myself to continue this story. I just can't continue with it anymore.

So that's my 13 reasons. I am so sorry that it had to come down to this but it had to be done. I'll still leave the story up for those who want to go back and read. I just won't update anymore chapters after this. Thank you all for sticking it through with me. I really appreciate you guys and I hope you all understand my decision. On a brighter note, I'll still be continuing The Alpha's Bad Girl and my new story Wolf. I have lots of ideas for those two and make sure to check Wolf out. It's a red riding hood spin-off and I'm super excited about it. I hope you guys enjoy it as well. If you guys have any questions just message me or leave a comment here.
