Maya's P.O.V

After me and Carlos' little 'chat' there was no denying it, I had fallen in love with me best friend.

I just wish he felt the same way..

Might as well just carry on with my life, cause as soon as we get back to the Isle my moms gonna kill me anyways! Yay! (Note the sarcasm)

It would never work anyway, for that to happen he has to actually like me as well...

I was brought back from my thoughts by Ben "Hey I kinda need your help"

"What's in it for me?" I asked closing my locker

"Umm...Free chocolate for a week?" He asked like it was a question

"Depends, why do you need me?" I asked turning to face him

"Carlos is having a hard time with tourney, and he seems to do better when your around soo...I was thinking...." He kinda trailed off

"Get to the point Ben!" I snapped

"Will you come to our practice?" He asked rather quickly

"Why?"

"I already told you, he does better when your around" He said with a smirk

"Again, why?" I repeated 

"You really don't see it do you?" He asked now full on smirking

"See what?!" I was generally confused

He just laughed and started to walk off "Ben!" I yelled after him "Tell me!!!"

He turned around and started walking backwards "Be there at 4" He yelled then practically ran away

Ugh. What did he mean by that... Oh well!

I showed up to the tourney field just like Ben had told me to. I saw him and Carlos talking on the field so I just decided to sit in the bleachers.

I brought my sketch pad with me in hopes, that I could finish my drawing. My attention on the two boys, soon drifted away as I got caught up in my art.

Sadly, that was short lived. I was brought back to earth by a voice "OK. Carlos, were gonna do some sprints. Ya ready?"

I saw Carlos nod his head. Ben pulled out a stop watch and shouted "Go!"

But what he didn't see was the dog behind Carlos. Crap. I got up as soon as I saw the furry thing, knowing Carlos was gonna freak.

He soon realized the animal was there when it let out a bark "Oh! AHHH!" He screamed and started to run faster. Man he's fast.

I ran down the rest of the bleachers and past Ben yelling "Ben! Come on!"

I chased him into the woods and found he hugging a tree while the dog was barking at the bottom.

"Carlos?!" Ben yelled from behind me

"Maya? Ben!" He yelled as we looked up at him "Guys help me! This thing is a killer! He's gonna chase me down and rip out my throat! This is a vicious, rabid pack animal!" He said clearly terrified 

I had to bite my lip to keep from laughing. "Hey who told you that?" Ben asked picking up the dog

"Curella" I growled under my breath

"My mother. She's a dog expert, a dog yellerer"

"Cruella?"

"Why are you holding him?! He's gonna attack you! Maya save yourself before it to late!" He said acting like a drama queen
