The Big Game

Maya's P.O.V

That night the boys had a tourney game. And we just had to go to it, because "Prince Chad will be there! Sweating and-and, shining..." Evie said drooling a bit

We headed down to the tourney field and saw, the bleachers were packed! We squeezed our way through the crowd until we found a little space, for us girls.

Audrey and the cheerleaders, were doing some dance, while a bunch of guys tried to look as far up their skirts as they could. Pigs.

The game seemed to drag on forever. We were already really late to the game.....but it still felt like forever.

"This is a nail biter folks" The announcer guy said "There's 47 seconds left on the clock. We're all tied up. The Sherwood Falcons, two. The Fighting Knights, two. What a game."

The coach put Chad in the game, and Evie squealed. I rolled my eyes at her. We then saw Jay stand up from the bench, then Carlos stood up. Well, it was more like he was dragged up by Jay.

The coach pulled someone out and both boys went in. I looked over at Mal and she looked just as surprised as me. Evie was just jumping and cheering with that Lonnie girl.

"There's about to be a big moment here. And the tip off is ready" The announcer said

The guy said a lot of other stuff describing who was winning, but I was soooo lost.

I did see Carlos block a guy though...then he did a really weird dance in front of the guy on the ground. I laughed at that.

Somethings went down, people were screaming everywhere, I was going deaf. Then all I heard was "He scores! Prince Ben has won it!!"

I knew what that meant. The crowd went insane, as me and Mal covered our ears. Then I saw Ben break apart from the team, and run up to the announcer. What was he doing?

"Excuse me! Excuse me!" He said into the mic. He then climbed onto the podium thingy "There's something, I'd like to say" The entire student body was silent "Gimmie a M!" He yelled

Everyone followed his actions and yelled M, and did some random hand movement. "Gimmie an A!"

Wait..

No way.

"Gimmie and L!" At this point people were losing it

"What's that spell?!"

"MAL!"

I looked over at Mal, and I've never seen her look so scared before. "I love you Mal. Did I mention that?" He then said

I saw Audrey run off the field. Karma's a bitch.

People all around us 'awed'. I caught Carlos' eye, and he just shrugged at me, not knowing, what was going on either.

"Here we go!" Ben yelled into the mic

At this point Carlos, Jay and some of the other team members started dancing with Ben. Dang. Carlos got moves.
