Paris's Pov-

"Mine!" He growls out, pulling my body closer to his as our chests touch and his lips are on my neck delicately. He won't mark me, I can tell but he sure is being strong for an Omega. Don't get me wrong, Omega's can be super strong but they are usually scared of their mates at first but they have to be by them all the time.

"Mate," I whisper as I fell the warmth spread through my body. The feeling is undeniably better than what I had ever felt with Xavier. The feeling is like when you just went through a horrible winter and then all of a sudden, one day is around seventy degrees. Or the feeling of being able to do something you've never done before.

Or it's the feeling that if you got drowned today, and lost everything, you know that you wouldn't drown but instead, you'd pull yourself and keep fighting against the current until you survived.

You'd fight till your last breath.

"Well, I think this meeting can wait till tomorrow, eh?" Kane's voice says amused as he looks towards Beta Jackson who is absolutely shocked as Legend keeps his arms around my petite body.

The Alpha's stand up and bow their heads in respect but I don't pay much attention. I just pay attention to Legend who whimpers into my chest, his breathing fans my shoulder. "I can't believe I found you.." he whispers, kissing my shoulder. I look at the Alpha's who leave the room and pull back slightly so I'm standing a few steps away, looking at him slowly, taking him in.

He has messy black hair that is shaved on the sides but still long enough to feel the hair, the top is styled as it's much longer than the sides and it casts an innocent, cute look to him. His piercing grey eyes makes my stomach flutter and I feel the urge to pull him to me an just lose my lips against his, or at least that's what my wolf is pleading for. He wears a muscled white v-neck with some jeans that fit him perfectly, and he has on black Nikes.

He whimpers, signaling for me to come back. I warned you, Omegas are clingy. I shake my head, biting my lip as I look at his perfectly Greek-god features. High cheekbones, plump lips that I just want to attach to mine, the sharpest and strongest jaw I have ever seen, and girls should be jealous on how perfect his eyebrows are naturally.

He whimpers again, his lips forming in a pout, his hands in his jean pockets. "How old are you?" I finally breathe out, and he looks up, some black strands falling into his eyes.

"Twenty-Five, what about you?" He asks curiously.

"The same age," I walk towards my binder and grab it, putting my papers in there before looking back at him and shutting my eyes, breathing in deeply. How can he possibly be so perfect? My hands grab the binder tightly as I keep my eyes closed.

Time, a second chance at a mate? But how? The thought strikes me, and I know it's impossible. I'm not a good enough person for the Moon Goddess to do this for me. I have saved and I have killed, it'll be proven when I see Dana and kill her. When I get the chance.. I swear..

"You aren't going to reject me.. are you?" He asks sadly, looking down at his shoes with a pained expression. "I understand if you would.. Alpha's aren't usually paired with an Omega and you won't have time to be with me all the time, plus I'm worthless at training and you need a strong mate and I'm just-" I cut my beautiful mate off, looking up with my glowing blue eyes. He's none of that, he's beautiful, innocent.

"I would never reject you, Legend. I can tell you're going to help me, you'll save me from what I'm going through, and training? I can teach you my ways, I can make you stronger. Legend, you're you, you're not worthless." I grab his hand carefully with a small smile.

"But- I'm not good enough. I'll need your attention all the time." I touch his cheek and he shuts his eyes, the mate bond much stronger for him due to his status.

"Then you'll get my attention." I take my hand from his cheek and take his hand, walking out of the conference room. "Where do you want to go? Do you want to talk?" I ask, knowing that Jackson took Lance to his cabin, he wanted to spend time with him.

"We can go wherever Alpha-" He cuts himself off. He looks at the floor with furrowed eyebrows causing me to grin at his adorable actions.

"Paris, my name is Paris May Evans." I look at the wall ahead, not paying attention to his facial expression as I pull him down another hallway and walk through the long glass case that you walk over 300 ft above ground, and into my house.

"Legend Andrew Black." He pulls me closer to his side and wraps and arm around me as we walk to the kitchen. I grab a water bottle and hand it to him, before walking towards the living room and he follows me, whimpering from not having my attention. "Why aren't you holding my hand?" He asks quietly, looking at me with a pout.

"I'm sorry, I forgot for a minute." I sigh loudly, grabbing his hand as I sit down on the couch and he lays his head on my lap, stretching his body out as he lays down comfortably.

"Put your hands in my hair please," he whispers, putting my hands in his hair and sighing in contentment as I run it through his locks.

"What does it feel like to be an Omega?" I ask him, his eyes shutting as I scratch at his scalp a little, kissing his forehead. Have you ever loved someone so much, that you just automatically snap? Like its like when you take a crumpled piece of paper that's ripped and find the other half. Is this what having a mate feels like, because if it is, then I'm going to be the happiest person in the world.

"It feels like you're the weakest person who'll never amount to anything." He whispers, opening his piercing, beautiful grey eyes. "What does it feel like to be an Alpha?"

I think about the question carefully before answering. "Like you're the enemy before you're the hero."
