I smile as I wheel Lexie to the front doors of the hospital, where Meredith and Derek are waiting to drive Lexie and I to their house.

Lexie and I are staying at Meredith and Derek's house for a few weeks so that we won't have to be alone just in case something happens.

"She's still asleep?" Meredith asks.

"Yeah, she was so tired. She wouldn't wake up, so I brought her over while she was asleep," I explain and smile down at the love of my life. She looks so beautiful and calm while she sleeps.

"Let's go Mark," Derek says and we all walk to the car.

I lift Lexie into the back seat. She opens her eyes.

"What...Where am I..." she trails off.

"We're going to Derek and Meredith's house. Go back to sleep," I say gently.

Lexie smiles slightly. "Ok," she murmurs and closes her eyes.

We all get into the car and start driving to the house.

"Hang on, so you two are... together now?" Meredith asks.

"Uh, yeah," I reply.

"Congrats," Derek says.

"I've been rooting for you two from the start," Meredith says. She turns around in her seat and smiles at me.

"Well, I appreciate your support," I say, and Meredith laughs.

When we get to their house, I put Lexie back in the wheelchair and we go into the house. When we get inside, Zola runs over to us.

"Why are you still awake?" Meredith asks.

"She wanted to wait for you two. And she missed her aunt and uncle," the babysitter explains. "I'll see you tomorrow Zola." The babysitter takes her bag and heads out the door.

"Bye bye!" Zola shouts after her, and wakes Lexie up.

She blinks a few times and smiles when she sees Zola.

"Hi Zola!" Lexie says in the tone she only uses with babies.

"Hi Aunt Lexie," Zola says.

Zola runs over to sit on Lexie's lap, and Lexie winces.

"Aunt Lexie's legs are hurt, so she can't play for now," I tell Zola. I pick her up and bounce her around like I do to Sophia, and she laughs.

"Okay, time for bed," Meredith says and takes Zola to her bed.

Derek shows Lexie and I to our room.

"Thanks again for letting us stay here. I really appreciate it," I say to Derek.

"No problem. I'll see you tomorrow," Derek says.

He closes the door behind him.

I put Lexie into the bed and lie down next to her. I wrap my arms around her and fall asleep.
