As soon as Lexie leaves, my pager goes off and I'm paged to the ER.

"What do we have?" I ask.

"15-year-old female. She was found in her house, which was burning quickly. Her mom, dad, and two younger brothers are also here with burns, but hers are the worst by far," Jackson says.

I look over her body and see that about half of her body is covered in burns. Her left arm is extremely badly burned, and I begin treating her arm. Jackson treats other more minor burns.

The girl was unconscious when I first got to her, but now she's starting to wake up. I look around the room and see an intern.

"Hey, you," I say. The intern turns around.

"It's Jo. Jo Wilson," she says.

"Okay, Wilson. I need you to make sure that the girl is calm when she wakes up. If she starts moving around, she could worsen her injuries."

"Okay, I can do that," she says and walks toward the head of the patient.

The girl's eyes fly open and she begins to hyperventilate. I watch Jo as she tries to calm the girl.

Jo puts a hand on the girl's shoulder. The girl looks over at Jo with wide, scared eyes. "Hi, I'm Doctor Wilson. What's your name?"

"I'm-I'm Jamie," the girl says.

"Nice to meet you Jamie. You're at Seattle Grace Mercy West hospital. There was a fire at your house, and you were burned pretty badly. These other two doctors are Doctor Avery and Doctor Sloan. They're treating your burns so you need to stay still," Jo says.

I look up from her arm. "You're going to be okay," I assure her.

She nods. "Where are my parents? And Brady and Nick?" she asks.

"Are they your brothers?" Jo asks.

Jamie nods.

"They're also being treated. They're all in pretty good shape, I can go check on them for you and tell them how you're doing," Jo offers.

"Don't bother. They won't care about me, only the house," Jamie says shaking her head.

"I'm sure they care. They'll at least want to know how you're doing," Jo says.

Jamie shrugs. "Whatever. They won't care, but you can tell them anyway."

Jo rushes out of the room to talk to Jamie's family.

About an hour later, I finish treating Jamie's burns.

"Doctor Avery and I finished our work on your burns. Doctor Wilson will take you to get a CT just in case you have any internal damage. I'll be back to check on you soon," I say.

"Thank you," Jamie says, and Jackson and I leave the room.
