Mary was tossing and turning from the same nightmare for the last two weeks. She could still smell the cigar smoke from Aubrys cigar. Mary always woke up at the same moment of the dream, "Geuss well have to do things the hard way." Mary sprung awake in a cold sweat, "No!" Her chest was heaving, as her eyes adjusted she saw movement in the dark.

Joker stepped out into the moonlight that was shining in from her balcony. He sat on the edge of the bed and stroked her cheek. She turn her mouth into his palm and gave it a kiss. "Bad dream..? Or memory.?"

Mary released his hand, "Both.. What time is it?"

" Three am." Joker slid and tucked his arm under Mary's head as she snuggled close to him.

"Do you ever sleep?"

Joker sighed, " I will now.."

Mary propped her head on her elbow to meet his gaze. "What do you mean?"

Joker played with a loose strand of her wavy hair, "I'm not gonna lie, I was worried about you. I thought the worst and part of it was true." He pulled  up Mary's scarred hand and ran his thumb over the scar as thought he could make it go away.

" I'm fine now." Mary rested her head on his chest. She could hear his heart. Her eyes slowly drifted back to sleep as he stroked her long hair.

Joker let out a long relaxing sigh, but too soon the darkness crept in. "Haaaahaa! Jackie boy... If this sweet angel only knew what you did to ole Aubry, she would never look at you again.. But don't worry. It's our little secret. I wonder if they'll amputate his hand. Tell me.. Was it his left or right ..? Because you know it's going to be a real pain when he wipes his own ass..!! Hhaa haaa!" Joker chuckled to himself, Mary slightly stirred. He laid still so he wouldn't wake her.  The voice was still there, "Oh that was fun.. I would say she was worth it.. Our sweet little Mary.." Jokers smile slowly disappeared. He didn't like the sound of him calling Mary theirs. She was his and only his.

She was his and only his
