The Journey of Kratos, Vol.1: The Beginning

Prologue

Throughout history time and space flowed according to the Gods in ancient mythology. Whether it be the almighty King of Olympus - Zeus (Greek Mythology) or the ruler of all parts of the created world – Ra (Egyptian Mythology). Mortals have worshiped their gods continuously to survive the modern life.

However, mortals have matured with age growing their own dependence. This proved the many skills that mortals have, which was survival of the fittest. Adaptation made it possible for many mortal humans to do things on their own without relying on the gods they worshiped. Many of the gods in each mythology new how to deal with this independence, however, some disliked the fact of being ignored. Countless legends and heroes have long been forgotten. Peace and hope among the mortals have been formed through the ages from new religions spreading through the lands of Earth.

From the narrow crevices of hope and peace, there's an immense feeling of despair lingering from within mortal and immortal hearts. That very despair sparks the flame that ignites chaos, one of the many creations that formed the universe.

Humans, both male and female, have been cursed by sin. Stories like Adam and Eve (Abrahamic Religion), Pandora's Box (Greek Mythology), explain the misfortune mortals have committed to either gain knowledge or simply out of curiosity.

One event in history is widely marked and is known to be "the day the world came to an end". The source of this event started with a disease that plagued only angelic beings. It caused them to go into a state of suspended animation resulting in their own death. Only a few remained lucky to stay in a suspended animation state, leaving their bodies to stay and their spiritual form to roam free. This catastrophic disease inflicted a quarter of the human population. Many doctors and researchers assumed it was some sort of virus. Others thought it was the work of God.

The Gods simply dismissed it as fate that only an angel must endure. There was no hope that an angel's life could be saved from this disease. Although there was one man that changed what little hope into a...REALITY!

April 8th, 1973

In a small town located in the heart of Sicily rest the man that soon changed the world. He is a wealthy man in his early twenties that is the final heir in the luxurious Romano familia. That man name is Torū Antonio Romano, a 5th Generation Mafioso.

INT. TORŪ'S HOUSE – DAY

WORK/STUDY (ROOM)

On the day of April 8th of 1973, Torū was currently devising a project that would uncover the world's secrets. He flips through files, while simultaneously writing notes. Torū flips through the last page in the file and finds nothing. His pencil suddenly drops from his hand out of frustration.

Suddenly, a bright light started to emit from behind him. Torū feels the warm sensation on his back. He turns around out of curiosity. A glowing angelic figure appears inside the glowing light. He starts to question the angelic being that stands in front of him...
