I stood nervously facing the front of the stairwell waiting anxiously for what cause I was called here for. Examining my surroundings, it appears that I had not been the only one notified about this upcoming announcement, which made my palms start to sweat.
What on Earth could be this important...?
From across the crowd, I can just barely see what appears to be a thin man trotting to the top of the stairs. Judging be the way he was dressed, he was definitely sent by none other than Cress royalty.
As the man clears his throat, the buzz of maidens whispering to one another begins to die down.
"Attention all maidens! There is to be a ball the next full moon at which all eligible maidens shall attend!" He started which caught everyone's attention.
"At this ball, the prince is to choose a bride!"
