Chapter 4; Call it quits

Kenzie's POV:

So we go and practice our dance but then someone walks in the door

Of course it was him, what is he even doing here?

"Baby!!" Nadia squeals and runs over to Johnny hugging him.

Baby?

I walk over to them hugging. They end their hug and face me with Johnny's hand around Nadia

"So what's going on?" I ask trying to keep it cool

"What do you mean, Johnny's my boyfriend.

Those words. Right when she said that my heart stopped.

"Oh h-how long?" I say scratching the back of my head

She looks at Johnny then back at me

"Uh.. like 3 months I think?" She says shaking her head confidently

I look at Johnny with watery eyes and he looks down trying to not make eye contact with me. It hurts, to know someone who I thought I could still be friends with can be a real backstabbing jerk.

I angrily turn away to go back to the dance but Johnny grabs my wrist

"Kenzie wait-" he says looking up at me for once

"You know Johnny, it really hurts to know someone who I thought I could trust again can stab you in the back" I say and shake my head at him

"Kenz wh-" he says but I stop him

"It's kenzIE, you used to be able to call me kenz but not anymore, j-just don't talk to me" I say and turn the other way going for the door.

He grabs my hand again "Kenzie why are you like this?" He says getting a little mad

"It sucks to be a real backstabbing b***-" I turn around facing the door again but I turn back around.

"Oh and when I said don't talk to me, I meant forever....goodbye" I say as a tear drops down my cheek and I run out. Lauren follows me out

"How could you lie to her like that? After what you put her through?" Lauren says as a tear rolls down her face.

No one knows what happened between me and Johnny and why we broke up, except me and him of course and Lauren. That's why we stopped talking.

Maybe one day he will tell you the real reason.

How could I be so stupid?
