Ravi POV
Mrs. Mommy is here! I am super excited for this.
"Hey guys," she says sweetly. "Sorry I'm late. The helicopter came across some strong wind on the way."
"It is totally fine," Zuri says.
"Yep," Luke agrees.
"Sure thing," Emma says. She's avoiding eye contact.
"Hey Emma," Mrs. Mommy says. "Did you gain weight?"
"Why?" Emma says. She looks nervous.
"You look a bit.... fat. Sorry," she says.
"Wait. You don't know?" Luke asks.
"Know what?" Mrs. Mommy says.
"That Emma-"
"-Is trying a new eating program. It's called....The Eat More Foundation. Yeah. She wants to gain a little weight because she's too skinny," Zuri says.
That is not true. Emma was never skinny. Or fat. She has always had a good body weight.
Mrs. Mommy gives Zuri and Emma a look. She's about to say something when Lou and Tiffany come over.
"Hello there Christina!" Lou says.
"Lou!" Mrs. Mommy says. She hugs Lou. "I missed you so much!"
"Same!" Lou says.
"Who's this?" she asks, referring to Tiffany.
"That's Tiffany. She's Ravi's girlfriend."
"Ravi?!" Mrs. Mommy says, gasping. "You didn't tell me you had a girlfriend."
"Well, I do," I say.
"Nice to finally meet you, Mrs. Ross, " Tiffany says.
"Please. Call me Christina," Mrs. Mommy says.
"So Christina," Lou says. "How's it going?"
"Great. The kids are all grown up now. It's hard to believe that one of them is finally independent," Mrs. Mommy says.
"So Emma told you she's pregnant?" Lou asks.
Mrs. Mommy looks at Lou like she's crazy. "What are you talking about?"
"Well, don't you know?" she asks.
"Did Emma not tell you that she's expecting Xander's baby?"
Mrs. Mommy gives Emma a dirty look. "Emma, is that true?"
"Umm.... "
"Answer me!"
"Yes. I'm sorry mom," Emma says. She looks really sad.
"We need to talk. Alone. Now," she says. She storms into the Woodchuck Cabin with Emma trailing behind her like a lost puppy.
I don't think Emma will make it out alive.
