Rival Love is what you would call it. But, not between you oh no, between your owner and another. It was hilarious as it was between rival bakers, they were obviously in love with each other but would never admit it. Like you said, it was hilarious watching them try to top the other, but fail miserably. Why didn't they just work together, you had no idea! They would be even better if they combined forces of their sweets. You pitied them in a way though, to obvious to see that they loved each other, they were bonded to continue this forever if they didn't just confess or something of the sort.

You laughed as your owner accidentally dumped flour over herself, quite a sight! The sound of the door's bell ringing caught both of your attention as she started to panic. You raised an eyebrow in amusement, and followed her out of the back of the bakery and to the counter, when she finally decided to go out. At the counter stood her rival Oliver and his cat too. Jumping on top of the counter, you watched as they taunted and teased each other mercilessly to no end. Honestly, how long were they gonna do this? Olliecat then jumped on the counter to meet you, and sat beside you.
"Ello poppet, how's the day been going?" Olliecat asked, still looking at the fight.
"Very good, you?"
"Much less the same poppet."
"Hm."
These were normal questions and conversations you had when you and Olliecat would meet. In honesty, you two seemed far superior to your owners, it was again, hilarious.

"Any more ideas on how to bring them together?"

"None yet poppet, sorry."
"It's fine."
The both of you continued to watch as the bakers broke away, each flustered and angry as each other.

"See you later again at our meeting place poppet?" Olliecat said as he was about to jumped off the counter to meet Oliver at the door.

"Certainly Olliecat, see you later." You bowed your head in goodbye and watched as they left the bakery. You felt yourself being picked up and didn't struggle, knowing it was Charlotte moving you around. She was huffing and puffing, and you chuckled at her behavior. She sat you down on a table and began to work on her sweets. You couldn't help seeing that fur would get in the batter and ruin the treats Charlotte had worked hard for, so you just watched and took note. When Charlotte had her fill of helping customers and cleaning up the bakery before leaving to go home. The car ride may have been long, but it did give you a chance to see the lovely houses and gardens accompanied it. As soon as you both arrived home, she fed you and ran upstairs to do whatever Charlotte does upstairs. You quickly left the kitchen and took an open window to get outside.

You ran to a hidden patch of flowers where you meet Olliecat every night. There you did indeed see Olliecat waiting for you. You started to run to Olliecat and gradually stopped before you could bump into him. You greeted Olliecat and sat beside him, the scent of bluebells coming to your nose.

"Any idea on how to bring them together (Y/n)-cat? I've got nothing." Olliecat turned to look at you, his blue eyes piercing your own (E/c) ones.

"Why don't we set them up to bake each other a nice treat without them knowing?" The plan seemed vague, but it was only a thought, not a mere plan.

"Charlotte? Capable of being nice? Hardly!" Olliecat let out a meow of laughter and closed his eyes, but you couldn't help but feel offended at the comment. You've never said anything bad about Oliver but yet Olliecat was talking yap about Charlotte? That's were you drew the line.
"Olliecat!? I have not talked bad once about Oliver and here you go yapping your mouth about her like you actually know her!" Charlotte maybe dense about Oliver liking her but, she wasn't completely stupid or generally rude like Olliecat was saying.

"Come on (Y/n)-cat! Charlotte is just as mean as you would think! I mean come on, look at you, you sometimes get your rudeness from her-" Right when Olliecat said that his eyes opened so fast you wouldn't even think he was a cat. You could feel your heart shatter, Olliecat really thought that of you? You shook your head, tears in your eyes, and started to run back home.

"(Y/n)-cat wait-" Olliecat's voice was drowned out my the thumping of your pawsteps as you gradually sped away as fast as you could, you couldn't handle one more minute of Olliecat's presence any longer. You jumped through the open window and ran upstairs, right when you stopped at Charlotte's door, it opened.

"There you are (Y/n)-cat! Bedtime now." Charlotte smiled and picked you up and set you in your (F/c) bed and turned off the lights. Despite being in your comfortable bed, you couldn't help but feel disturbed at the fact Olliecat thought so lowly of you. When finally fell asleep, it seemed you barely slept at all and you didn't feel all that rested either. But, the main question was, why where you so heart broken over Olliecat? You didn't know and you didn't want to know the answer. The good thing was, it was Sunday, and you didn't have to go to the bakery today, so you could catch up on sleep along with Charlotte. Fate, however, wasn't going to let that happen. The doorbell had decided to ring at least, a dozen times. Charlotte groaned and slowly got up, you doing the same and stretching. Charlotte put her hair in a messy pun and dressed up a but nicer then her night gown and you lick your ruffled fur. Together, you both went down the stairs and towards the front door.

Charlotte opened the door and nobody was there, all except a pink envelope that laid on the porch. You both raised and eyebrow as Charlotte picked it up and closed the door. She tore the envelope open and pulled out a pink tinged paper. You couldn't read human speech so you were at a loss. Charlotte murmured the words as her eyes lit up in surprise at whatever the letter said and put it on the kitchen counter. She started to gently pet your head as she went into thought and you purred at the sensation. Charlotte stopped petting you and huffed,

"Are you ready for some adventure (Y/n)-cat?" Not knowing what she meant by that, you still gave a mew in response and she smiled. Charlotte gently picked you up and walked out of the house, though you did give her a mew to remind her to lock the door. Together, you walked to the park. (Which was more like a forest to you.) And start to walk around. You had no clue what was on that letter so you just hung tight with Charlotte. You two walked around a bit, though Charlotte kept muttering, much to your annoyance. That's when you both saw it. It was a lovely patch of lilacs and lilies. And a picnic was set up, with delicious food set out. Charlotte let you go, as she walked over to the picnic, and was met with Oliver popping out next to it. The two of them surprisingly didn't get annoyed with each other and started to talk, you just sat there and watched happily. From the corner of your eye, you could see Olliecat sit next to you.

"Lovely seeing them get along ain't it poppet?" Olliecat hummed.

"Yeah, it really is." You replied, eyes still on the humans.

"Poppet, I'm sorry for my outburst yesterday, that was not part of the plan." Olliecat grinned sheepishly, to which you laugh at, you could never seem to keep made at him, it just wasn't in your code.

"It's alright Olliecat. You're forgiven. But, you said that wasn't part of the plan, what do you mean by that?" You finally turned to look at him, your eyes meeting his blue ones.

"Well, I was hoping to get us on the subject of us and well..." Olliecat trailed off, and you raised an eyebrow.

"Well what? Continue please?" Olliecat mumbled a few words and met your gaze again, full of confidence.

"And confess to you, (Y/n)-cat, I love you, and would do anything to have you by my side, so please, be my one and only love?" Olliecat's voice had hope in it, and you did feel a tad touched to know he didn't mean his words from earlier.

"Oh Olliecat! Yes, yes I will!" You grinned as wide as you could, and licked his cheek. To which he returned it back.

"Now, on that subject, I humbly request the following-" You rolled your eyes at Olliecat's new possessive nature and blocked his voice out. Boy, Olliecat could be annoying at times, but he was now your little annoyance.

-_-_-_-_-
