Clint watched her as the smile he remembered she used to always wear seem to haunt him. Her smile and words seemed to be ghosted and followed him around whenever he thought about her.

Because when he found out that she lied to him about everything, the pain in his chest and heart burned him.

It was all too much. The dream that she gave him was all to sweet and real. It was all he wanted.

Was it selfish if him to just want her like that?

Part of him wished that he could go back to that life. Where she was still sweet, honest and kind. Except she was never honest.

She was a undercover HYDRA agent.

He didn't want to believe it too. It took a bullet to his arm and her cursing herself for missing his hear to make him realize that it was very real.

And what hurt even more was when she told him that she never really in love with him. Clint wanted to believe it was a lie but the words she spoke were the truth. The disgust on her face and how she shot without hesitation told him all he needed to know.

Clint couldn't help but still be in love with her. A small hope in his chest made him stick by.

She's seen him at his worst and best. He saw her the most beautiful and hideous, but it was nothing against the way her lip curled in hatred when she snarled at him.

He wondered if all those sleepless nights and deep conversations meant nothing for her, while it meant the world for him. Because the way she made him feel was too strong to ignore.

The stinging pain in his chest was a reminder of his broken heart and collapsing happiness.

Was everything a lie to her? What did she say that was honestly the truth?

All he wondered was that, even when Tony pierced a bullet into her head. Clint remembered yelping out and screaming  while running to her side. He was ashamed to say that he still thinks about the girl who shattered his ego and life everyday.

If only he knew the impact she would make. But it was too late because the sky was permanently grey and forever raining in his mind.

And when she revealed her powers of shapeshifting, it only made it worse. He confused reality with illusions as he watched her face morph into many different ones.

His mind flashed by many small animals and wondered if she was always watching him. Forever traumatized, he sometimes woke up in a cold sweat and smelled her scent in the pillow next to him. It only made it worse.

He didn't have the heart to throw it away, it was his old piece of the past he could hold on to.
