Chapter 22| "Sorry You Had To See All That"

Same room, now the same bed?! You have got to be kidding me.

"Hey, you alright?" Ace asked me and I frowned.

"There's only one freakin bed."

"And what's wrong with that?" He said like he didn't care. My goodness. He wanted us to sleep together?!

I stared at him in disbelief. "What is wrong is that I don't want to sleep next to you alright? I want my personal space."

He bit his lip and I stared. That was hot. "Yea I see where you're going with this. It is a big mattress so why don't we just scoot over."

I nodded my head. "Okay, I guess." I said, still not liking the idea. What if something happens?

  We had both finished unpacking for the week.

The basement was well enough cleaned that it looked like an actual, big bedroom. Just that there were boxes and objects at the end of the walls. Other than that, the basement was good for the week.

Living here before it wasn't even this clean. Or really had any of the furniture it has now. They must have added it for my visit which I thought was very nice. Because now I could just come and hang out here other than my room.

I mean, it had a tv, a couch, a refrigerator, all that would be essential for me to not have to get out and go upstairs.

I checked the time on my phone. Exactly 3 pm. That's when I thought Wait. Where's dad?

I started to go up the stairs to exit the basement until I heard Ace call behind me. "Hey, where are you going?"

"Upstairs duh." I said.

He looked at me with a Bruh look. I laughed. "I'm just going to check if my dad is back since I didn't see him. As well as my aunt and uncle. Wanna come?"

He nodded and we both went out of the basement.

I could hear my dad's voice talking to my mom. As well as my aunt and uncle.

I walked into the kitchen and there they were.

Aunt Lex and uncle Dan.

"Helloooo people!" I greeted all of them. They immediately turned around and smiled.

"Hi honey! How are you?" My dad said, walking over to give me a hug.

"Hi Maya." My aunt and uncle said.

"I'm good dad. You?" I said after we had hugged.

"Well just excited that you're going to college! How's that treating you by the way?" He asked, putting his arm around my shoulder and walking me over to where my aunt and uncle were.

"I think we should discuss that in lunch which will be ready in a few." My mom said.

"Your mothers right." My dad said, and let me talk to my aunt and uncle.

"Hi, Maya. You're beautiful as always." My Aunt Lex said as we hugged.

"Not as beautiful as you. Right Uncle Dan?" I said with a big smile and turned to look at my uncle as he chuckled.

"Right."

I greeted my uncle and talked to my aunt and him for what seemed like a minute. My aunt Lex was my dads older sister. They both had black hair and brown eyes. Meanwhile, I got to inherit my mom's blue eyes.

Uncle Dan had brown hair but his parents were red heads. I mean, his daughter Max had red colored hair naturally even though she isn't a red head fully but got it from her grandparents. While Jessica had brown hair like her dad.
