Chapter 17 - Part 2

I wake up to the noise of ThatSoRaven playing. "Thank god it was only a dream." I mumble. I wipe the tired out of my eyes. I look at the person sitting on the couch next to me. It's Jack ( thatsojack ), but why is he here?

I check my phone and it says 9:00 at night. "Jack." I say. "Yeah?" He says. I say trying not to sound bitchy "No offense, but why are you here? And why are you watching ThatSoRaven."
"Well, first Sam invited me to keep you company while he's out. And second of all, Raven is my queen." Jack says sassily. "Where did Sam go?" I say worried. "Um.. Oh he went to the hospital with everyone else." Jack says. "Well why didn't he wake me up and take me?" I say a little angry. "I don't know." He says a little hurt.

I give Jack a hug and go to the kitchen. I unplug my phone and unlock it. I click on Sam's name and it dials. I put it in speaker phone and go back to the living room where Jack is. "Hello?" Sam says. "Hey babe, why didnt you tell me you were going to see Kian with everyone?" I say trying to sound nice and calm. "Umm.. I just wanted you to sleep." He says, but I know he's lying. "Okay. When are you going to be home?" I say a little pissed off. "Tomorrow morning." Sam says. I get more angry knowing that something's up. "Okay. Love you. Bye." I say. "Love you." He says and hangs up.

"He's lying." Jack says before I can even take a breather. "Yeah, I know." I say. I put my head in my hands and look at the ground. Jack rubs my back and gets me some aspirin. I grab the keys to Sam's car, and run out the door. Jack follows and gets in the car. I start the car and drive off. I drive to the hospital with Jack next to me. We get there and I run in. Jack walks in with me to Kian's room. I go in and only Andrea and Sam are there. I sigh with relief. Andrea whispers "I'll let you have some time alone." She drags Jack with her and closes the door on her way out.

I just stare at Kian's body. All I hear is the beeping of the machines and Kian's breathing. "So. Where is everyone else?" I say without looking at Sam. "I don't know." He says. I go to the other side of Kian. I kiss Kian's forehead and hold his hand. I squeeze Kian's hand, not thinking anything. He squeezes back. His eyes flutter open and I look at Sam in amazement.
