I just love how Yamamoto drew this scene. Like, you can tell how emotional Kimizuki is in this flashback scene without having to see tears. The only sound that is made in this room is the noise of the only sign of her being alive, but otherwise, it's complete silence. Shihou looks like he is trying not to cry.
This is the first scene in which we see Kimizuki looking absolutely helpless. It's heartbreaking for me.
Prior to meeting Shinoa's squad, he seemed to have to have dealt with this alone.
