He was falling. Fast. To the naked eye, he would look like nothing more than the streak of light from a passing meteor. But he wasn't passing earth by in space, he was falling into a little rural area outside of Tokyo. He hadn't understood the power of defiance until this moment. The moment when the lesson was learned moments too late and he was already punished.

He could see heaven above him. All the humans saw the stars and other celestial bodies, but he saw another dimension. A universe adjoining this one that he had been cast down into. He could still see the shocked faces of people he'd just been with, and the one angry one. The redhead with a red and a yellow eye. He had been the one to cast him from grace, and so he was falling.

He didn't know what would happen when he landed. No one knew. No one in his universe that been cast down had ever returned, so how was anyone to know what truly happened when you fell. In that moment of falling, he didn't care if he lived or died. He could see the universe stretch out beyond the fading image of his own. It was beautiful.
