Everyone stared at me as I ran through the park barefoot with my beautiful white gown flowing behind me. I really couldn't blame them. My hair was now a mess and my make-up had to be smeared across my face by now.

I finally stopped when I came to a trail that no one was on. I quickly ran over to the bench and sat down to take a breath. Sobs continued to come from my mouth as I felt my chest tighten. I cried into my hands as I thought if the events that had just taken place. I'm sure anyone would respond like this if they walked in on their soon to be husband making love to, get this, the brides very own brother.

It would've been different if he had just told me he was gay and called off the wedding, it also could've helped if my brother had confessed to this as well, or even if I had walked in on him with my sister. At least that could've been slightly expected. Just about anything could've been better than what had happened.

"Umm are you okay, Ma'am?" A man's voice brought me from my thoughts. I looked up to see a guy with chin length hair and bright blue eyes. He wore a heavy jacket and both of his hands are stuffed in his pockets.

"Oh, I'm fine." I rubbed my runny nose and gave him a weak smile. "I'm sorry I didn't think anyone was here."

"Neither did I." He chuckled as he scratched the back of his neck. "I'm Bucky." He stuck out his hand. I went to shake it but then noticed it was metal. I hesitated for a moment before continuing.

"(Y/n)." I gave his hand a firm shake.

"Do you wanna talk about what's bothering you? It was obviously something big." He told me as he glanced down at my dress and to my bare feet.

"Its a long story." I sighed as I wiped more tears from my watery eyes.

"I've got time." He shrugged as he sat down on the bench beside me.

So with a friendly smile and an encouraging nod, I began to pour my heart out to this stranger. Starting with the moment I fell in love with my fiancé, Seth, to the moment I walked in on him and my brother in the back of the church. I told him every emotion I felt and the thoughts that ran through my head as I began to run away from the church. Soon my head was in his lap as he began to untangle my hair and wipe the make-up from my face. The passing clouds soon turned into the setting sun which turned into a starry night. After I had finished speaking he began to tell me about his life, which made my problems seem very small in comparison.

I had never felt so vulnerable yet protected in my life. We laughed, cried, and complained about everything we never got to before.

"I should probably start heading home. I left my phone, so my family is probably worried to death." I said in disappointment.

"Oh, well let me give you some money for a taxi. You shouldn't be walking home this late." He said as he stood next to me, and began calling for a taxi.

"Thank you." I couldn't help the smile that grew at his words.

We walked to the exit of the park to find we had been locked in, as the gate at the entrance wouldn't open. We both shared a look of panic as I began to shake the gate.

"I think we can climb." Bucky spoke as he started to pull him self up the fence. I followed suit as he reached the top and jumped to the other side. Once I got to the top and threw my legs to the other side I began my climb down, soon I felt two hands on my waist lifting me from the fence. I turned around to see his face inches from mine.

"I know this is probably a terrible day to ask you this, but could I maybe have your number?" His face flushed pink as I'm sure mine did too.

"Honestly, it should be, but for some reason I think it's okay." I said as I took the phone from his hand, adding in my number. I handed it back to him as I climbed into the taxi.

Who would've thought I would fall for a different man on the day if my wedding?
