[Edit: Oh goodness, So I've been editing this book (Not on wattpad) And I just realized that my auto-correct changed "Wincarian" to "Wincarain." Ugh! The first 31 chapters of this book are written on a phone. You'll find the 'Wincarain' mistake till Chapter 17. Sorry.  ---August 10, 2018]

Grace's point of view:

"Wincarain?"

"Yeah. Wincarain," she smiled.

"What does Wincarain mean?" I asked her with a frown.

The smile wiped off her face and she sighed looking down. Gosh! Did I make her sad? I didn't know that it will make her sad.

"Wincarain means... the cursed blood," she said.

"Cursed blood?" My brows snapped together.

Is she cursed? What will happen to her? Is she going to die early?

"Yeah, but I don't know anything about the curse. No one knows what the curse is except the royal family," she said.

"Are the members of Royal family Wincarain too?" I asked.

"No. They are not," she answered.

Maybe she knows the meaning of the event. Asking wouldn't hurt.

"Do you know what the event is?" I asked.

"Event?" She looked confused.

"I heard Elizabeth saying this and Katherine too," I said.

"Interesting. The Royal family is full of secrets," she chuckled.

"Yeah. They are full of secrets," I agreed.

I looked into her blue eyes. They were dull and there was sadness in them. Why was she sad?

"You know, this library has tons of books why don't you explore the ancient section? I am sure you'll find some answers there," she said, making me snap back to reality.

"Oh yeah! Great idea!" I exclaimed.

"We just cleaned the ancient section, it's weird that some days ago it was so neat but suddenly it started looking like it wasn't cleaned for ages. A book got stolen from there too," Emilia said while fidgeting.

"Which book?"

"Gratala's Curse."

"What was it about?"

"I haven't read it, madam."

Anyways, I thanked her and headed towards the ancient section. I saw huge and fat books there.

Walking in that section and touching all the books made me feel good. Sunlight from the window was making everything glow. I inhaled the smell of old books and smiled.

I looked around and saw a book named 'The Klataria.' I hoped it will have the information about Wincarain and the event. I tried to hold it but it was too heavy.

Does this book has stones in it?!

"EMILIA! WILL YOU PLEASE COME HERE?" I called her.

"SHHHHHH," I heard her answer me back.

I chuckled. Oops! I screamed in a library.

"Yeah?" she said walking towards me.

I pointed my finger towards that book and her eyes went round.

"We can't even hold that huge book," she chuckled, "don't worry though. I'll give you the crystal."

"Crystal? Why?" I asked.

She removed a red colored crystal from her pocket and handed it to me.

"This crystal is used to make the weight of a book less, making it easy to read. The pages of this book are huge, you'll need one. Just keep this near the place where you gonna read the book," she said.

"Whoa, thanks!" I said. Hmm, magical stuff.

"No problem and don't worry about taking that book to your room. I'll send some library servants to deliver this book there," she smiled.

"Great!" I grinned.

What would be written in it?! I hope I'll find some secrets in it too.

---

I was walking around the castle and saw the garden. It had many flowers in it. A huge statue of a woman was standing between the garden. It was made of white stone. Roses were growing around it.

I walked towards it. The statue was pointing its one hand towards the forest.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" I heard Elizabeth's voice.

I looked back and saw Elizabeth coming towards me.

"Yeah, it is really beautiful," I smiled.

"Its the statue of Floisa Klatar, the first queen of Klataria," she said.

First queen of Klataria? Stories about her might be in that book.

"You and Andrew look cute together," she said and pinched my cheeks.

I blushed. Why do she and Katherine never stop talking about me and Andrew?

"Grace, we all are going to the village, Thogerson's Creek to meet Lady Chafica there. We will stay in her house for some days," she said.

"Oh okay, but why are we going there?" I asked.

"I need to discuss some... things with Chafica," she answered.

I had no problem going there. Even though this castle is great, I would love to see other parts of Klataria.

---

I saw that huge book kept on my bed.

Time to get some answers. I took the red crystal and kept it on the bed beside the book. The red crystal started glowing.

THE KLATARIA

By Clara Kayal.

Translated to English by Thomas Wincarain.

Thomas Wincarain?

Is this the same Thomas? He is a Wincarain?

'Yes, he is the Lord Wincarian. The one who gets the title of Lord Wincarian becomes the keeper of a big secret. Don't trust anyone. You are kept in a veil...' I heard the same creepy voice.
