Dawn and Addie stuck by each other's side as they moved to the last generator. Addie had gone quiet very quickly, but Dawn didn't push. It only took them a moment to finish the generator and the familiar sound of the gate being powered.

"Come on," Dawn grabbed her hand and tugged her towards one of the gates. Addie followed behind him, frequently glancing back. After a moment, she jumped.

"Did you see that?" She quietly asked.

"See what?" Dawn questioned.

"It was... Nevermind," Addie muttered as the two arrived at the gate. Dawn shook his head before grabbing the lever and pulling it down.

"Addie!" The said girl's eyes flickered up at the sound of Sal's voice. Her eyes landed on them, side by side with Ate. Ate's facial expression was confused. She must be confused about Dawn.

"We've gotta go," Dawn told the three as the gate began to open.

With that, the four ran out.

-------------------------------------------------------------

All four stayed silent as they walked towards the house. Sal and Ate walked right by each other, while Dawn lagged behind and Addie took the lead.

"The others will be up by now. They probably weren't woken up since we went in," Addie whispered as she stopped in front of the door. She took a second before opening the door and walking in. She was met by the sight of Ashlie, Tommy, and Nick in the living room. The sight broke her heart.

Nick sat between the two others, his left hand covering his mouth, the right clutching the letter. His eyes were visibly red from crying and his hair was a mess.

"Nick?" Addie whispered, causing the man to quickly look up at her.

She didn't expect what happened next to happen.

"What the hell were you thinking?" Nick exclaimed, quickly standing. "You believed this person for a second?" He held the letter up to her. "What the absolute hell were you thinking? You could've died out there if Sal and Ate hadn't gone after you!"

Addie's face had quickly fallen and her arms were tightly wrapped around herself as tears began to slowly slip down her face. She had never seen Nick like that.

"You've always been so smart. How could you even think that it was-"

"Nick, that's enough!" Ashlie grabbed onto Nick's arm and pulled him back after realizing the man had moved towards Addie.

Nick's eyes moved back to Ashlie, who was staring at him with an annoyed expression.

In the midst of their silent argument, Addie had quickly separated from the group and exited into a separate. Ashlie turned to watch her.

"What the hell, Nick?"
