Colby's POV

I watched the door slam after Riley walked out.

"Should we go after her?" I asked.

Brennen and Nik just looked at each other, then back at me.

"I dunno dude." Brennen replied.

"Thanks, that helped so much." I replied sarcastically.

"She'll come back eventually." Brennen said.

"I'm just gonna call Sam." I pulled out my phone.

"Why are you gonna call Sam?" Brennen asked.

"Because he's her best friend, remember?" I pressed on Sam's name and held my phone to my ear.

After a few rings he answered.

"Wassup dude."

"Sam, have you seen Riley's Instagram?"

He paused. "No, why?"

"Look."

He mumbled an okay. A little while later he said, "How the fuck."

"That doesn't matter right now, Riley just got up and left. Like she literally just went outside and it's starting to rain."

"Okay." He replied.

"Okay? What do you mean by 'okay'?"

"Just don't worry about her, okay?"

"How am I supposed to not worry about her?" I asked.

"Just trust me, she's fine. And don't go looking for her."

"W-why?"

"Just don't, that's the last thing she wants." Sam explained.

"O-okay, I guess."

"She'll be back in a few minutes."

"Okay, so should we just stay here? How long?" I asked.

"Yeah, stay there. She either takes like 5 minute walks, or hour long walks. But she's smart, she knows not to keep you guys waiting."

I nodded even though he couldn't see me.

"Okay, thanks Sam."

"Wait, tell me how this happened."

"Check Brennen's Snapchat story." I said, then hung up.

I set my phone on the table.

"What'd he say?" Brennen asked.

"He said to wait for her." I said bluntly. I was kind of angry at Brennen, even though it was an honest mistake.

"Wait, are you mad at me? Because I literally just forgot, I didn't purposely put her on my story."
