Chapter Twenty-Nine

•Mare POV•
     "You know, I've been thinking," Carac says as he bursts into my room.
     I sit up with a start and Cal follows. "Thanks for knocking," I say flatly.
     "Anytime. Back to what I was saying, I think you have more powers than what you think."
     "What do you mean?" I ask and Cal wraps his arms around my waist.
     "Well, as you know, everything is made up of atoms," he begins.
     "I don't want a science lesson, Carac," I groan.
     He holds up a hand. "Hear me out. As I was saying, atoms contain electrical charges and if you control electricity, then I bet you can control every single damn thing in the universe."
     An intriguing thought, but that's not probable. If I could control everything, wouldn't I know by now? Carac is exaggerating my power.
     I shake my head. "I don't think so, Carac."
      Cal gently runs his fingers along my stomach, causing a small, satisfying shudder to run through me.
      "He may be right, love," he says softly to me.
      Carac grimaces. "Could you two cut out the PDA?"
      Cal gives him a sly grin. "I'll try to contain myself."
      I feel my cheeks turn red and Carac rolls his eyes.
     "You two are intolerable. But Mare, we're going to train together and I'm going to see if I'm correct. I'll see you at six tomorrow morning in my personal training room."
     I let out a long sigh and Cal chuckles. Six is too early for me. But Carac is way too positive. I'm not what he thinks. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

¡Hola mi amigos! So I just got back from Destination Imagination Global Finals. My team won first place in our category!! We beat everyone in the world and we were sooo excited!! But I digress. I don't know if I'll be able to update anytime soon because I'm leaving tomorrow for a ten day long trip to New York and Canada. I'll update as soon as I can!
