"What'll you do when you get lonely And nobody's waiting by your side?"

"You've been running and hiding much too long. You know it's just your foolish pride."

"Layla... you've got me on my knees." Fifteen year old Kassidy Gillan sang softly to herself one summer evening in 2003 as she sat on the small sofa in the sunroom of her family's Inverness home, Eric Clapton's Layla playing softly through the stereo speakers. "Layla... I'm begging, darling please."

"Layla, darling won't you ease my worried mind."

Kassidy hummed along to the lyrics as she wrote in her red leather-bound journal. Yeah, in recent years she had upgraded from just writing in plain notebooks to more heavy-duty writing journals. Although, she had kept all of her writings on a shelf of the bookcase in the sunroom of her family's home.

"I tried to give you consolation When your old man had let you down."

"Like a fool, I fell in love with you, Turned my whole world upside down."

Kassidy was pretty much the only one in her family that used the sunroom really frequently. Sure, her mother might come in there to read with a nice cup of tea sometimes. Her father might come in there to play his guitar every once in a while. And her sister might even occasionally come in there and ask Kassidy to help her read over lines of dialogue from films that she would manage to get her hands on.

"Layla, you've got me on my knees."

"Layla, I'm begging, darling please."

"Layla, darling won't you ease my worried mind."

But as it was said, Kassidy was really the only one that regularly used the sunroom. She liked to go in there and write while having the view of the western edge of Inverness with its view of the Craig Phadrig hill off in the distance to keep her company.

"Let's make the best of the situation Before I finally go insane."

"Please don't say I'll never find a way And tell me all my love's in vain."

Kassidy sighed contently as she stopped writing before then closing her journal and getting up from the sofa and walking over to the white wood desk that stood on the other side of the room right next to the bay window. She set the journal on top of the desk, setting her pen down right next to it before going to the large bookshelf in the room and looking over the titles that were there. She crouched down a bit, smiling when her eyes scanned past the shelf that she had exclusively dedicated to her Doctor Who tapes.
