Chapter 41

Lilly's POV

I open my eyes to see Charlie looking at me, soon as I saw him a smile formed on my face

"Hey beautiful" he smiled putting my hair behind my ear

"Hey" I faintly say

"You slept like a bear cub" he says making me chuckled

he leans in and kissed me and I pulled away "what?" He asked

"I love this so much but I have to check on my son first" I say getting up

He nods

I walk out of my room and to Bailey's room, he's usual standing up in crib but he's not, I walked closer to see a empty crib all I see is Bailey's small blue bear that my dad gave him

I walk back into my room

"What's Wrong?" Charlie asked

"Did you hear when you woke up?" I asked

"No" he says

"Why, What's Wrong?' He asked

I put on my vans and walked out the front door and Charlie followed me

I knocked on Emily and Ethan's door, Ethan opens the door holding Gabriella

"Morning Lilly" he says

"Where's Grayson?" I asked

"He's right here" Ethan says moving out the way so Grayson could be in the door way

"Did you take Bailey from his crib?" I asked

"No, Why?" He asked

"Lilly what's going on?" Charlie asked

"No, No, No" I say running back to my apartment with everyone following me

I go back into Bailey's nursery to see he gone

"What Happened?" Grayson asked walking into his nursery

"He's not here" I break down onto the floor

"Lilly?" Charlie says trying to calm me down but it's not working

"I'm going to call the police!" Ethan says

I'm sitting on the couch with Charlie on one side and a police officer on the other

"So what was your son wearing?" He asked

"a blue oneise with a cartoon monkeys all over it" I say

"What does he look like?" He asked

"He has brown eyes and dirty blonde hair" I say

"Do you have a recent picture of him?" He asked

"Yeah, I gave it to another detective" I say

"So when the last time you saw him?" He asked

"Last night, I gave him bath he fell asleep while I dressed him, I put in his crib then Charlie came over and went to bed" I say leaving out the part where we kissed

"Okay, we will find your son" the police says

After all the police left, I was still shaking after the panic attack I had

"I can stay if you want" Grayson says

"Just go" I say as my voice cracks

"It's alright I'll be with her" Charlie says

Grayson left and Charlie stay by my side

Charlie gave me a another glass of water, a took a sip and set it on the coffee table

"I remember when I first met you, at my dads barbeque party, you didn't really wanna be there but Jamie and Layton begged you to come and you ended having a best time. And then when the fireworks started Jamie and Layton wanted to watch them from the tree house in the woods but you didn't have a bike so they left without you, you watched the fireworks on my porch and i came to sit next to you" he says

"And I told you how the fireworks told a story, by the colors and sizes and when they went off, i remember " I nod

"That's the day, I knew you were different you were special" he says

"When I was um in 8th grade, I had a major crush on you" I admit

"When you was in 9th grade you was taking pictures with Jamie and Layton your homecoming dress I couldn't help but stare, I remember thinking something was wrong with me because I was falling for a girl who was younger then me" he says

"What about that time when you threw that party while your dads were away" I say

"No, I didn't throw that party, my friends did" he says

"I saw you kiss Jamie, I was so heartbroken I stopped talking to you" I say

"I didn't kiss Jamie, she kissed me, she was drunk and I tried to take her drink away and she pushed into me and she kissed me" he says

"And it felt like hell for me when you stopped talking to me" he says

I look down

"Hey, they're going to find him, I promise" he lifted my chin

"I know I'm just scared" I say wiping a tear

"can sing that song Layton, Jamie and I made up again?" I asked

He pulled me into a hug while he sang

"jump like a little hippo, then you do a little flip-o " he sang

"twist to floor if you don't understand this dance there's the door" I sang

"and lastly it's almost done make sure you take a bow before you sit back down" we both sang

"How did you guys come up with that song?" he asked laughing

"I don't know, but it makes me smile all the time" I say

"Well I'll keep singing over and over, I love it when you smile" he says

I smile and pull him into a hug

"Thank you for being here" I say

"Always" he says hugging back
