Ava

"Her?" I hear a customer in line whispering to her friend

Me?

"Yeah, that's her,"

"Seriously?! No!"

Seriously! Yes!

I ignore their conversation since honestly, this isn't even the first time I've heard people talking about me.

"She's probably a gold digger," she laughs at her own comment, her friend joining in

That word... I hate it.

"Yeah but, that works when the guys like an old ugly man. But Kai, god! His beautiful!" She groans, gushing about Kai

Yes I know

Okay, stay calm.

Deep breathes

"Hi, what can I get you?" I put on my fake cheery voice, flashing them a smile

"We'll have 2 caramel frappes and 2 chocolate chip cookies," one of them speaks up.

As I turn around to prepare the order, I could still feel their stare on my back, along with quite sniggers

"Hey? You good?" Rhys asks, also preparing a drink

"Yeah I'm great," sarcasm

Rhys gives me a questioning look and says, "We gotta talk," he turns back to his customers and so do I.

"Here you go," back to my fake smile, I hand them their order.

"Thank you," they both say at the same time, giving me a one over then walking away

Ugh

"I'm going on my break," I tell Aiden, walking upstairs and into the break room

Today was a super tiring day, peoples comments and everything is seriously messing with my head.

I never take people's comments seriously or let it get to me since I've always been so used to them. This is practically how my life was in the past, nothing new.

"Eww, It's Ava!"

"No one be her friend, she's got germs!"

"Smelly Ava!"

Stupid kids!

"Ava the forever virgin,"

"Poor Ava, no one to go to homecoming with,"

"It's the irrelevant one!"

Stupid teens!

"You don't need to go to college,"

"Sorry honey, we forgot about you,"

"Ava? Stop being dramatic!"
