"Get in here!" I shouted. "It's awesome!"
She looked at me doubtfully from the riverbank. I was floating on my back with my arms stretched out and a chestful of air to keep me afloat. I thrust out my arm suddenly and sprayed her with a jet of water.
"Argh" she yelled, storming into the river. "I have had enough of you and water!"
She turned her head and I followed her gaze to the older of my two brothers.
"Danny!" She shouted. He turned his head. "Get over here and help me drown Alex."
He obeyed without question. Together he and Maddy grabbed my shoulders and dunked my head underwater.
"Why are we doing this?" I heard Danny ask. His voice was distorted through the water.
"Because I'm sick to death of him," she replied.
I twisted suddenly under the surface, and rolled to the side. My hands gripped the sandy riverbed for purchase and I Changed as I thrust myself to the surface.
My silver wolf leaped into the air and shook out his shaggy fur. I let out an amused roar and leaped at Maddy. I tackled her to the ground and placed one paw on her stomach.
Holler uncle, I commanded.
