Just friends?

Chapter 2

Laura was wearing a pair of black jeans and a white lace top. The sound of a beeping horn beeped outside her apartment it was her mum and dad.
She ran outside
"Hi mum hi dad"
She jumped in the car and the drove off
When they arrived at the hardys there was quite a few people there.
"Laura" tom beckoned over he gave her a kiss on the cheek
"Laura I want you to meet Alice this is my girlfriend"
"Oh hi you never mentioned you had a girlfriend" Laura said surprised
"Well was sort of keeping it under wraps really you know what it's like with the press and everything"
Alice gave her a false smile and all ready Laura didn't like her
"Excuse me" Laura said as she walked off and in to the toilet locking the door she leaned her head on her arm against the wall she felt like her insides had been ripped out.
She had thought about tom all afternoon and that just maybe she was starting to have feelings for him well that was out the window now.
She touched her make up and went back out to where everyone was. She went in to the kitchen to grab a large glass of wine when someone came up behind her
"Stay away from tom I mean it"
"Who do you think you are telling me what I can and can't do"
"All he has done is talk about you I am his girl now he don't need you so do one" with that she turned on her heels and walked off towards tom who was sitting with his dad and Laura's dad
Laura downed her drink pouring her self another one.

She decided to stay away from tom as every time she even was to look at tom she got the glare.

"I am going to go home mum I have got a banging head ache"
"Ok darling how you getting home?
"I have a taxi tell tom I said bye" as she grabbed her jacket and slipped off

As she sat in the back of the taxi tears fell down her cheeks she felt like she was going to loose tom altogether. She paid the taxi man the money and went in to her apartment few minutes later her phone beeped a text from Tom.

Hey Hun your mum said you had a headache hope your ok text me tomorrow maybe we can have lunch again x

Night tom x

I went straight in to my bedroom and getting straight in to bed I was so tired and stressed I went straight to sleep.

The next day

My shift at the shop started really early at 7 so by 12 I was starving
"Go for your lunch Laura" shouted Ben
I have him a thumbs up and walked upstairs to the little room I pulled out my sandwich from my bag and began to eat 10 minutes later the door creaked open and in walked Tom.

" tom what you doing here?
" thought you were going to text me have lunch again did you not fancy hanging out? He asked
" sorry I didn't text I have just been really busy and I didn't think Alice would want you hanging out with me now"
" oh don't be silly she's fine we're friends" he said as he nudged me giving his biggest smile.
We sat and chatted for half hour before I went back to work.
" me and Alice a few other people are going for some drinks tonight come along" he called out
" maybe"
When I clicked off at 4 tom messaged me

Please come out tonight xx

Ok meet you at the bar at 8 xx

I decided to get dressed up why not!
