This book is inspired by the book series 'Spirit Animals'. I would strongly encourage reading the books.
In the book, there are 3 classes of people.
Top trainer - People who can summon their spirit animal before the age of 3. Thought to have the strongest bonds with their spirit animal.
Trainer - People who can summon their spirit animal between the ages of 4-12. Thought to have a decent bond with their animal. Most common class.
Low trainer - People who can only summon their spirit animal once they are in their teen years or after teen years. Thought to have a weak bond with their spirit animals.
Chun MiYoung is a top trainer while all seven boys in BTS are low trainers. Usually, low trainers and top trainers never associate and the low trainers are ignored by society.
It makes everybody worry when a top trainer like chun MiYoung, who summoned her spirit animal on her first birthday, becomes friends with the seven low trainers, who are all 17 and still haven't summoned their animals.
Something else I should mention, the names (human wise) will all be Korean and all the names (animal wise) will be American. I will use only a few honorifics (oppa, unnie, nunna, hyung) but not others (appa, eomma, dongsaeng, etc).
I also don't use any Korean words (sometimes I use basic Korean words like ne, ani, jebal, mianhae, annyeong, etc. but i don't use any of that in this book).
