Three years later

"Aunt Elliot!" Jackie's three year old screams as he hugs me.
"what's up sport" I laugh as I hug him back
"Mommy and Daddy won't give me ice cream." Misael tells me
I turn to Jackie and scowl at her, then turn to Misael
"Did you eat?" I ask him
"no aunty" he replies
"how about this? You eat first then we can go get you ice cream?" I tell him, making him nod and smile at me before letting him down and turning back to Jackie.
She smiles sadly at me, "you okay?"
I nod at her before going to the kitchen and serving misael some garlic chicken and mash potatoes
"It's been three years Elliot, you have to move on" Jackie tells me
I turn to her and sigh, "I know Jackie trust me I know."
"Micah was a good guy, he would have been proud of you. It sucks that he's gone now" Jackie says
"I'm happy right now Jackie, I came to see that I can do it by myself, I always have and I always will. I love you Jackie, you're my sister, my family."
"I love you too" Jackie tells me
So there you have it. A tale full of hate, love and tears. I have to admit, I had one hell of an ending. This is only the beginning of what comes next and honestly it will be one hell of a ride.
