16: the inside job

I am now walking along side Mettaton, Napstablook and 3 other monster crew. We are now proaching the front of the building as where everyone else is ready for the event to begin.

Alphys then pops out of the main glass double doors too signal Asgore too start the event.

And that signals the fellow loox to roll camera as Mettaton first speaks in front "and we are back! Right now the lovely king of monsters, Asgore himself, will now finally start the event."

As he jesters the camera loox towards the crowd surrounding Asgore. "Humans and monsters! Tonight, through these doors will demonstrate the true benefits of monster kind working with humans together to proceed an equal peace! Thanks to our leading scientists Alphys and Sans with there now completed projects. Now lets us observe the promising future for ALL RACES!"

Everyone clapped and cheered loudy as two big royal guards opens the doors while in guarding post. Everyone now walks through the building.

I keep walking pass the entrance while holding my big hat down to avoid any eye contact.

We stop as I decide to move my hat up a little and we are all admiring the event that is happening. The lights are pinkish and in some corners are light blue each device of tech object is highlighted from the white ceiling spotlights.

And then Undyne shows up in her old royal guard armor. Along with Sans walking with her.

Mettaton first said "wow undyne, it seems your taking tonight's guard seriously."

But Sans said "well a strange grey kid came out of nowhere recently and did stole one of our blueprints that are very vital."

And Undyne says really angry while clenching her spear really hard "when I find that kid, they are gonna beg to be spared from my wrath after thinking of stealing from ALPHYS!"

I gulped from that possible consequence.

Sans then stares at me "hmm are they with you? Looks a little more human to be your crew."

Mettaton thankfully says "oh. Well. I finally recruited a human sooner than I thought."

Sans still staring at me as I tucked my hat lower worrying he might actually notice.

And then Alphys came and asks Sans that he needs to present his first project.

As the three of them leave Mettaton signals the crew to follow their direction to continue the broadcast and said that me and Blooky to proceed with my plan.

I stand at the center to admire a the scenery that is turning peace into a possibility. Everything is starting to come together while I was gone.

I guess I am not needed that much here.

I turn to the spot where the first presentation is. Papyrus nehing agitating at Sans usual puns. Alphys is beyond stuttering under Undyne's presence. Monster kid fanning that Undyne is in this event.

Mom-. . . Toriel being delighted of this process.

But as I see Asgore, I can tell he is not looking well as he keeps tucking his  throat without suspicion.

This is making me nervous for him but Napstablook spoke to me by surprise "so are we gonna start?"

I nod "sure just give me a few seconds."

I focus on seeing the security room. A monster guard is just exiting for his quick break.

"Bingo." I turn to Blooky "to the security room."

And we both faded into the location.

Infront of us is a control board table and on the front wall are cameras surveilling the building. I jammed and broke the buttons, pulled small lever sticks and ducked down pulling any wires.

I look backed up and see 5-6 cameras on the locations I need. Including the the backdoor outside!

"Perfect! Blooky to the last hall north west!"

And we faded to the almost empty hallway. Lucky there are less people this far and they thought to get early looks first. So this is going really well.

We reach the corner to peek at the next main room. And on the center table is the last piece to my promise.

The people in the room are ready so I said to Napstablook "I'll signal you to head over to the underground entrance. Okay?"

He nodded and we watch as the few people exiting the room.

"Now." And he faded as I quietly scurry to the table.

This power generator is half the height and weight of me in the shape pine tree displaying as a vertical standing. It was suppose to duplate the functions as the core but in a smaller scale. And the sixmze is perfect for a small rocket.

I turn to the next hall and seeing everyone just left.

I hold the machine with both arms are scurry to backdoor exit.

A turn around and have my back lean pushing the door and made it out.

I sighed in total relief.

And then I was levated in a bluish aurora making me drop the machine as I was lifted higher.

I turn my head to see

... "s- Sans?"

"You got a lot of guts to comeback here. When the guards show up, there are questions you better answer."

And the extended mechanical arms grabbed Sans' hands up making him lost control as I landed feet first.

The one holding Sans was Mettaton!

I stare in shock but Mettaton yelled "hurry!"

I took his word and grabe the power generator and run through the near buildings from one alley to the next.

I did!

All need to do now is meet up with napstablook.

Mettaton pov
"What the hell Mettaton! This kid was stealing from us! Twice!"

Alphys, Undyne, and Asgore arrived.

Alphys said "what happened here?! And what happened to power-"

Sans cuts her off "it was the kid"

"A- again? But why?!"

Undyne then rages "THAT KID PROVES HE DOESN'T DESERVE MERCY!!! I'm sending a hunting party right now!"

Sans then glares at me "well Mettaton, you did stop me when I had the kid. Do you know anything about them."

Then everyone turns to me in confused.

But I calmly smile and said "all I see is a person finishing a promise."

I then looked at Sans "more than us standing here."

Sans then looks more confused

Asgore then walks towards undyne. He first cleared his throat and said "well... Undyne, I will speak with the officials about this since it does interfere with the peace process. Now lets all go back in there not let the guests waiting."

Everyone one nodded and and walked in last but as I hold the door I look back.

' don't worry Frisk. I will not have my doubts on you.'
